Where is Oppeano located?
The municipality of Oppeano borders to the northeast with Palù and Ronco all’Adige, to the northwest with Zevio, San Giovanni Lupatoto and Buttapietra, to the south with Bovolone, to the southeast with Isola Rizza, to the southwest with Isola della Scala, to the east with Ronco all’Adige, to the west with Buttapietra and Isola della Scala.

The 2023 edition of the feast of San Giovanni Battista took place from Friday 16 to Tuesday 20 June at the “Le Fratte” sports center in Via Domenico Marcolongo, 4.
The program of the event includes large and comfortable dining areas where you can choose from exquisite local specialties, from inviting spit-roasted chickens to succulent chops, ribs and sausages sizzling on the grill served with slices of grilled polenta, fried potatoes and cold mugs of beer.

Bike ride in Oppeano
The starting point of the recommended bike route is the Parish Church of Santa Maria Addolorata and San Giovanni Battista in Via Roma, 21. Leave the church facade behind you and head west for 300 meters along Via Roma, then turn left. Travel along Via XXV Aprile for 400 meters, passing the town hall and a lush garden dotted with majestic cedars. At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue for 500 meters along Via Dossi to the next roundabout.
Take the first exit and proceed west for 2.6 km along the cycle path on Via Napoleonica and Via Cadalora, from which you can enjoy a suggestive view of the Oppeano rural landscape dotted with charming farmhouses and rustic buildings surrounded by endless expanses of wheat punctuated by hedges of willows and cypress poplars. At the roundabout, take the third exit. After 200 meters, turn left into Via dei Bursi.
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Via Dante Bertini, at the roundabout take the second exit and continue along Via Dante Bertini for 350 meters to the intersection. Turn right and pass by the church of Ca’ degli Oppi, then proceed along Via Croce for about 600 meters. At the intersection, turn left.
After 250 meters, turn right and follow the cycle path on Via Ponte Asta. At the roundabout, take the second exit and take the cycle path on the overpass until you reach the intersection between Via Feniletto and Via Isolo. Turn right and travel along Via Isolo for 4 km. On your right, a suggestive canal separates the road from flourishing cornfields, orchards and plowed fields stretching as far as the eye can see, on the left from radiant hedges of poplars, acacias and dense formations of marsh reeds.
At the roundabout, take the second exit and proceed for 850 meters along Via Roma until you return to the starting point.
Villa la Montara
The splendid 17th-century noble residence located at Via Isolo, 50.
The southern facade of the building stands out for a majestic facade softened in the center, on the ground floor, by a rusticated decoration. The piano nobile is punctuated by six pilasters framing a central arched window and four rectangular side windows. Completing the vertical development of the structure are the architrave, the frieze punctuated by triglyphs and metopes, and the triangular pediment crowned by enchanting statues.
