Where is Caldiero?

Bike ride in Caldiero and Soave
The starting point of the itinerary is the parking lot in Piazza Vittorio Veneto in front of the Ederle primary school. Leave behind the entrance to the council chamber of the former town hall and proceed westwards, downhill, passing in front of the neoclassical church of San Pietro Apostolo.
After about 200 meters, at the intersection keep left, flanking the lush urban garden where the white monument to the fallen of Caldiero from World War I and II stands out. Shaded by a fir and a cedar, the commemorative stele is crowned by the bronze statue of a soldier raising a torch in his right hand, while in his left he holds a rifle with bayonet. After about 100 meters, turn right into Via Mirandola.
Proceed for 2.5 km along Via Mirandola, Via Lavandari, Via Giare, and Via Spezieria, entering the peaceful agricultural landscape of Caldiero shaded by lush plane trees and marked by flourishing vineyards surrounding elegant farmhouses and rustic buildings.
At the intersection turn left, go under the underpass and proceed along the main road for 750 meters to the roundabout. Take the second exit and follow Via S. Irene for about 1 km among sunny vineyards and luxuriant hedges of acacias, willows, and poplars.
At the roundabout take the second exit and continue to the next roundabout. Take the second exit again and proceed for 2.5 km along Via Carrozza and Via XXIV Maggio between stone walls covered with ivy, elderberries, and dogwoods that border vast vineyards and the well-kept gardens of ancient rural houses dotted with cedars, cypresses, and lindens. At the intersection turn left, then turn right into Viale IV Novembre.
At the intersection keep right and cross the pedestrian crossing, then turn left and take Viale IV Novembre on your right. Follow for 850 meters the road that follows the wooded slope in the shade of plane trees, cypresses, horse chestnuts, and hackberries.
Once you reach the majestic Villa Spinola, Franchini, Cometti, take Via Peschiera and proceed for 800 meters between sinuous stone walls and silver olive trees, then turn right into Via S. Nicolò. Proceed for almost 3 km along the provincial road 37 that extends at the foot of a wooded hill on whose summit lies the village of Casteggioni.
Once you arrive at the picturesque town of San Vittore (45.42727910087427, 11.221333550013496), turn right into Via Ghiaia among pleasant rows of vines. After 600 meters turn right and continue on Via Ghiaia, from which you can admire cheerful wooded slopes dotted with farmhouses.
After 800 meters turn right. Proceed along Via Fornello and Località Vallese for 1.5 km, then turn left into Via Micheline. At the intersection with the regional road 11 turn right into Via Strà, cross the pedestrian crossing and take Via delle Terme. Proceed along Via delle Terme and Via Monte Rocca for just over 1 km until you return to the starting point.
