Where is Isola Rizza?
The municipality of Isola Rizza borders to the north with Oppeano, to the south with San Pietro di Morubio, to the east with Ronco all’Adige and Roverchiara, to the west with Bovolone.
Villa Pollettini
Located at Via Marconi, 187, Villa Pollettini is a charming Renaissance palace harmoniously set in the urban heart of the town. Currently the municipal seat of Isola Rizza, the architectural complex consists of a residential core, arranged on two floors plus attic, to the sides of which are connected two single-story volumes that extend along the northwest-southeast axis. Two other buildings flank the structure to the west, forming a right angle.
The northern facade of the building is crowned by an elegant swallowtail merlon.
Flanked by four windows, the round-arched entrance portal is surmounted by a three-light window with flamboyant trefoil arches, located centrally on the noble floor. In line with the rectangular windows below, on either side of the three-light window, four single-light windows also conclude with flamboyant trefoil arches. In the mezzanine, in a central position, there is a two-light window embellished by two frames that reproduce flamboyant trefoil arches. The same motif is repeated at the top of the ground floor windows. The two-light window in the attic is flanked by two chimneys slightly protruding from the wall.

The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows
According to the liturgical calendar, the day dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows is September 15. The 2023 edition of the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows took place from Friday 15 to Tuesday 19 September.
A recommended opportunity for food lovers, the festival features spacious and comfortable tent structures where you can choose from delicious local specialties, from risotto all’isolarizzana to cotechino and boiled meat with pearà, a typical sauce of Veronese cuisine made with beef marrow, broth, breadcrumbs, butter, salt and pepper.

Villa Sagramoso Buri
Located on Via Nuova, the majestic villa of medieval origin stands between the town center of Isola Rizza and the boundless Veronese countryside, marked by lush orchards and vast cornfields crossed by deep canals shaded by long rows of cypress poplars. The sumptuous farmyard is bounded by a perimeter wall on the south side of which opens a wrought iron gate. Behind the exposed brick wall, partly covered by a dense mantle of ivy, appear the thick crowns of cedars, firs, magnolias, maples, lindens and other tall trees.
Through the gate one catches a glimpse of the large bulk of the main residence, arranged on two levels plus a mezzanine. The building is accessible via a loggia with three wide arches, the central one larger. On the noble floor, in a central position, stands a three-light window with round arches flanked by four single-light windows, also arched.
The residential core is flanked to the west by another two-story building. The property also includes a barchessa with an airy portico punctuated by wide round arches.
