Where is Palù?
The municipality of Palù borders to the north with Zevio, to the south with Oppeano, to the east with Ronco all’Adige, to the west with Zevio and Oppeano.
Bike ride in Palù and Zevio
The starting point of the cycling route is Piazza San Giorgio, in front of the church of San Zenone. Leave the church facade behind you, take Via Seccadinari and proceed to the intersection with Via San Zeno. Turn right and follow Via San Zeno, Via Bertolda, Via Chiesa and Via Sant’Antonio for 3 km, entering the serene rural landscape of Palù, marked by lush cornfields and long rows of thriving apple orchards stretching as far as the eye can see. Keep left on Cà dell’ora Bassa. The road winds through characteristic rustic buildings and charming farmhouses surrounded by greenery. Along the ditches and in the gardens of rural houses, radiant magnolias, willows, fig trees and cherry trees grow. From Cà dell’ora Bassa continue along Via Zinzalle for 1.5 km.
At the intersection with Via Ronchesana, cross the road and proceed north along Via Corone for 1 km towards the urban center of Zevio, then turn left onto Via Leonardo Da Vinci. After 650 meters, turn left onto Via Dall’Oca Bianca. Proceed south for 1.2 km among pleasant vineyards, cherry trees and rustic farmhouses surrounded by cornfields. At the roundabout, take the second exit and follow Via Ruzzotto for 500 meters, then keep left on Via Capitello.
After about 150 meters, at a charming frescoed shrine, turn left. Follow Via Capitello for 650 meters among orchards and ancient farmhouses, then turn right and continue along the dirt road for 500 meters. At the fork, keep right and continue for 1.1 km along the road that follows a clear, winding canal. At the intersection, turn left and follow Via Dosso, Via Griffe and Via Catene for 1.8 km until you return to the starting point.
Villa Maffei Rizzardi
Located at Via Legnago, 29, the 17th-century noble residence is harmoniously set within a vast flowering park dotted with hydrangeas and studded with horse chestnuts, tree of heavens, weeping willows, maples and many other tall trees.
The architectural complex is distinguished by a majestic manor house, spread over two floors plus an attic, flanked by two elegant arcaded barchesse, each punctuated by eight large round arches. The sumptuous stately property includes a fascinating dovecote tower connected to a two-story building.

San Zenone Festival
According to the liturgical calendar, the day dedicated to San Zenone is May 21. The celebration in honor of the patron saint of Palù also takes place in the days before and after this date.
The 2023 edition of the San Zenone Festival took place from Friday 12 to Monday 15 May, Saturday 20 and Sunday 28 May.
To the solemnity of the holy mass, the program of the traditional event combines the carefree atmosphere of a lively village fair with live music, dance evenings and food and wine specialties that will make your mouth water.
