The undisputed protagonists of the event, bigoli are a type of homemade pasta made with soft wheat flour, salt and water. One of the most characteristic dishes of Veneto cuisine, the long thick spaghetti are distinguished by a slightly rough texture, ideal for absorbing the sauce.

The parish of San Giovanni Battista
Harmoniously set between the urban heart of the thousand-year-old village and the sunny volcanic slopes marked by lush vineyards, the church of San Giovanni Battista is one of the most significant cultural and spiritual landmarks of the municipality.
The white mass of the neoclassical place of worship is distinguished by a facade punctuated by two pairs of imposing Tuscan half-columns resting on high bases.
Above the wooden portal, surmounted by a triangular tympanum supported by sinuous corbels, stands an elegant glass rose window set in an elegant circular frame.
The powerful half-columns support the architrave, the frieze bearing the inscription “DOM GIOVANNI BATTISTA” and the triangular pediment crowned by three statues.
Spacious and bright, the single nave of the church is embellished with spectacular pictorial works and altars in polychrome marbles.
Noteworthy is certainly the bell tower soaring beside the church. Finished with a sharp spire resting on an octagonal drum, the structure features three single-lancet windows along the west side, above which stands a large clock with Arabic numerals. Behind the bell tower, a suggestive view of the profile of the Colle della Madonna can be seen.
The Alpini Trail
To undertake the hiking trail, you can leave your car in Piazza degli Alpini at the archpriest’s church in Via San Giorgio 16.
Proceed west along Via San Giorgio for 1.2 km until you find on your left the beginning of the dirt trail, marked by an information panel, in front of the farmhouse la Chiesetta.
Once on the tree-lined path, keep right and proceed south along the wooded slope of the mountain until you reach the ruins of the oratory of Sant’Antonio Abate, a sacred building originally from the 13th century flanked by a charming bell gable.
Wrapped by acacias, cypresses, and oaks, the stone place of worship rises near a cave covered by a dense mantle of ivy in which a stone altar decorated with plant motifs in high relief is placed.
The trail climbs the side of the mountain until it emerges onto Via Monte Madonna at the baita Passo Fiorine. From this point, proceeding east, you will find trail no. 14 that leads to the summit of Monte Grande, from which you enjoy extraordinary panoramic views of the Colli Euganei. Proceeding west, you will reach the summit of Monte Madonna, where a spectacular sanctuary arranged around a porticoed cloister is located.
To return to the starting point, leave the entrance of baita Passo Fiorine to your right and follow the signs for the Alpini Trail R 1 which descends the northern slope of the mountain until it emerges onto Via San Giorgio.
