Where is Ronco all’Adige?

Apple and Pear Exhibition
The 2023 edition took place from Sunday 17 to Monday 25 September in the historic center of Ronco all’Adige.

Ancient Pieve of Ronco all’Adige
Located in Piazza Roma, the place of worship stands out for its monumental neoclassical facade, vertically divided into three parts by four powerful Corinthian pilasters resting on high plinths. Concluded by a tympanum supported by two sinuous corbels, the massive wooden portal is inscribed in a large arch with an architraved profile slightly recessed from the wall face.
On the sides of the portal open two semicircular niches. Completing the vertical development of the facade are the architrave, the frieze and the dentilled triangular pediment.
Adjacent to the southwest wall of the church, the square-based bell tower features a mullioned window on each side of the belfry. The structure is crowned by a conical spire framed by four pinnacles.
Bike Ride in Ronco all’Adige
The starting point of the cycling itinerary is the parking lot in Via Sant’Ambrogio near the Parish Church of Tombazosana in Piazza IV Novembre, 42. Leave the facade of the place of worship behind you and turn left; after about 120 meters keep right in Piazza IV Novembre, then turn right into Via Pietro Silvestrini. Travel along Via Pietro Silvestrini for about 260 meters, then turn left into Via Corte Rigona and keep right into Via Albarotto. Proceed for 1.1 km along Via Albarotto and Via Tomba di Sotto, entering the pleasant rural landscape punctuated by lush cornfields and dotted with ancient farmhouses.
At the intersection with Via Giare and Via Cason, turn left into Via Giare and follow the dirt road that winds along the embankment of the Adige River in the shade of black locusts, holm oaks, willows, walnut trees, poplars, ash trees and other lush tall trees.
After 1.5 km turn right and travel along Via Giare for 2.8 km, leaving the quarry on your right and following the sinuous course of the river.
Cross the pedestrian crossings and continue north along the Adige Cycle Path of Tombazosana for 2.7 km (unless otherwise indicated). The path winds between the dense vegetation that covers the banks of the Adige, through which you can glimpse charming river islets, and the boundless countryside dotted with picturesque farmhouses, rustic buildings and rhythmically marked by the regular succession of lush rows of vines.
Descend the embankment via Via del Popolo and proceed until you reach Piazza Roma, between the town hall and the parish church of Ronco all’Adige.
Leave the entrance of the town hall on your left and continue west for about 180 meters, then turn left into Via Quadrelli. Proceed south along Via Quadrelli for 850 meters. At the roundabout take the second exit and continue south along Via al Corso for 2 km between rows of tall cypress poplars and wheat fields. Keep left on Via al Corso. After 350 meters turn left and proceed for 1.4 km east until you return to the starting point.
