A recommended event for food lovers, the traditional celebration features large and comfortable tent structures where you can choose between inviting dishes, both homestyle and gourmet, from risottos, lasagna with ragù and lasagna with duck to succulent grilled chops, ribs and sausages, chicken legs with crispy fried potatoes and slices of grilled polenta, as well as delicious cotechino, to be enjoyed with cold mugs of beer and local wine excellence.
The event combines the solemnity of the holy mass with the jovial, carefree and lively atmosphere of a bygone festival, in the name of dance performances, folk orchestras, theatrical shows, craft exhibitions and workshops, motorcycle rallies, and the classic charity raffle.

The church of San Zeno
Located at P.za Vittorio Emanuele, 15, the church of San Zeno is in the heart of the rural village, a few steps from the sinuous embankments of the Adige.
The medieval place of worship is distinguished by a majestic double-pitched facade vertically tripartite by two pairs of fluted Ionic pilasters resting on high plinths.
Finished by a curved pediment supported by corbels, the massive portal is decorated with bas-reliefs depicting two deer, angels, and at the top of the portal, Saint Zeno the Bishop. On the sides of the entrance there are two niches with statues of Saint Zeno on the right, and on the left Saint Anthony of Padua holding a child in his arms and one at his side.
Above the door stands the dedication: TO THE GREAT ETERNAL GOD – IN HONOR OF S ZENONE BISHOP AND MARTYR – THE PIETY OF THE FAITHFUL – YEAR MDCCCLX.
Completing the vertical development of the structure is the toothed triangular pediment crowned by three statues. The interior of the tympanum is decorated with two white outstretched wings.
Rhythmically punctuated by Ionic columns and pilasters, the vast and luminous nave of the church houses splendid altars in polychrome marble and a valuable pipe organ.
The Adige cycle path
Starting from the parking lot in front of the parish church in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, to reach the cycle path all you have to do is take Via Adige, leaving the church of San Zenone Vescovo on your left, until you reach the Adige embankment about 350 meters away.
The comfortable asphalt cycle path winds along the winding embankments of the river of the same name, from whose privileged position you can enjoy an enchanting view of the untouched river environment and the lush tree vegetation of field maples, silver willows, ash trees, poplars, alders, elms and plane trees that grow along its banks.
If you are wondering what to do in Roverchiara, the Adige cycle path is a recommended route for those who want to do physical activity outdoors and admire spectacular landscape views of the endless Verona countryside crossed by the Adige, dotted with rustic farmhouses and ancient country churches immersed in greenery.
