Where is Agna?
The municipality of Agna borders to the north with Candiana, to the southeast with Cavarzere, to the southwest with Anguillara Veneta, to the east with Correzzola, Cona and Cavarzere, to the west with Arre, Bagnoli di Sopra and Anguillara Veneta.
The fair of San Lorenzo
According to the liturgical calendar, the day dedicated to San Lorenzo is August 10. In the municipality of Agna, the celebration in his honor also takes place in the days before and after this date. The 2023 edition of the event took place from Saturday 5 to Tuesday 15 August in Piazza Roma.
Recommended for good eaters, the festival features large dining areas where you can taste exquisite meat and fish dishes, from succulent chops, ribs and grilled sausages to tasty paella, a specialty from Valencia based on rice with shrimp, mussels, clams, crab, cuttlefish, cherry tomatoes, peppers, peas, saffron and paprika.
In addition to the inviting Iberian specialties, the menu includes typical dishes of Venetian cuisine such as straeca (a tender and thin cut of meat from the horse’s diaphragm), baccalà alla vicentina, and appetizing fried fish served with grilled vegetables, slices of grilled polenta, and cold pints of beer, ideal for relieving the summer heat.
To further enliven the festive evenings, there will be exciting concerts where you can let loose to the rhythm of great pop and rock hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The program includes exhibitions of tractors and agricultural machinery, both vintage and modern, a testament to the ancient peasant culture of this picturesque town in the Bassa Padovana.

Palazzo Mignoni
Located at Via Roma, 28, Palazzo Mingoni is one of the most fascinating and significant architectural landmarks of the municipality.
Designed by the brothers Attilio and Vincenzo Mingoni in the second half of the 17th century, the current town hall is harmoniously set in a garden adorned with maples, maritime pines, box hedges, holm oaks and willows.
The facade of the white 17th-century palace features on the ground floor a three-arched loggia, above which open three arched windows, the central one with a balustrade.
The sumptuous square-shaped building is internally embellished by pictorial works from the 18th and 19th centuries of a historical, biblical and legendary nature.

Church of San Giovanni Battista
Located at Via Marconi, 56, 35021 Agna PD, the monumental neoclassical place of worship is distinguished by a double-pitched façade punctuated by two pairs of Corinthian semi-columns separated by a large round arch that dominates the center of the front.
Framed by Ionic pilasters, the wooden portal is surmounted by a curved tympanum above which stands a blind rose window bearing the inscription D.O.M. IN HONOREM S. IOANNIS BAPTISTAE PRAECURSORIS DOMINI.
The imposing semi-columns support the entablature formed by the architrave, frieze and dentilled triangular pediment. The vast and bright nave of the church is embellished by refined multi-colored marble altars, splendid 18th-century sculptures and precious paintings decorating the presbytery dating back to the 1920s.
