Where is Baone located?
The municipality of Baone borders to the north with Cinto Euganeo, to the southeast with Monselice, to the southwest with Este, to the east with Galzignano Terme, Arquà Petrarca and Monselice, and to the west with Lozzo Atestino and Este.
The bisi festival
The 2023 edition of the bisi festival took place from Wednesday 17 to Sunday 21 May in Piazza XXV Aprile.
Framed by majestic lime trees, the square hosts several tasting stands where you can enjoy dishes based on the exquisite bisi, which, thanks to the microclimate and the fertile volcanic soils of the Euganean Hills, grow lush and rich in organoleptic properties.
Risi e bisi, pasta e bisi and pea soup are just some of the appetizing dishes you can order in the dining areas set up in the heart of the village.

Native to Central Asia and the Middle East and cultivated eight thousand years ago in the Fertile Crescent, Pisum Sativum is a legume with high macro- and micronutrient content of essential amino acids, vitamin C, E, B and vitamin PP.
The event programme includes a competition to assess the finest bisi in the area.

The Santa Croce festival
According to the liturgical calendar, 14 September is the day on which the finding of the True Cross by Saint Helena, in the year 320, is commemorated. In the municipality of Baone, the celebration also takes place in the days leading up to this date. The 2023 edition of the festival was scheduled from Friday 9 to Tuesday 13 September at the parish of San Lorenzo in P.za XXV Aprile, 32.
Alongside the solemnity of Holy Mass, the festival combines the cheerful, carefree atmosphere of a fair from days gone by, featuring traditional food, live music and dance evenings.
An ideal opportunity for food lovers wondering what to do in Baone, the event features spacious dining areas where the aroma of polenta, cooked in large copper cauldrons and served with beans and slices of sopressa, of bigoli, gnocchi and lasagna with duck ragù, of ribs, sausages and grilled chops, of steaming pumpkin risottos, venison stews and Vicenza-style baccalà, just to mention some of the dishes on the hearty and delicious menu.

Trail no. ° 8 of Monte Cecilia
With a length of about 5.5 km and an elevation gain of 180 metres, the circular trail of Monte Cecilia is a pleasant scenic route suitable even for inexperienced hikers who want to admire breathtaking views of the Euganean Hills.
To begin this pleasant nature itinerary, you can leave your car in the free parking area on Via Monte Gula. Continue north along Via Monte Gula. Leave Via Alberto da Baone on your right and take Via Val Lucerna, along which you will find signs for trail no. °8 and an information panel.
Carefully signposted, the route winds through the lush woodland vegetation of black locusts, ash trees, oaks and poplars until it reaches the summit of Monte Cecilia, at an altitude of almost two hundred metres above sea level, where the mysterious ruins of a medieval stone bastion stand.
