Where is Polverara?
The municipality of Polverara borders to the northeast with Legnaro, to the northwest with Ponte San Nicolò, to the south with Bovolenta, to the east with Brugine, to the west with Ponte San Nicolò and Casalserugo.
The Polverara Festival
The Polverara festival is held every year between June and July. The 2023 edition of the festival started on June 22 and will end on Saturday, July 22 at the church of San Fidenzio in Piazza S. Fidenzio, 2.
To the solemnity of the holy mass and the procession in honor of San Fidenzio, the celebration combines the jovial and carefree atmosphere of a folk festival with typical cuisine, sporting competitions, charity lotteries, vintage car and motorcycle exhibitions, and rock music concerts.
On the occasion of the festival, spacious dining areas will be set up where you can enjoy home-style dishes made with tasty local products, from selections of cheeses and cured meats to sausage, ricotta and zucchini flower bakes, and homemade pasta with ragù, just some of the dishes included in the menu.

Route along the Fiumicello
The itinerary begins at the parish church of San Fidenzio.
Leave the neoclassical facade of the place of worship behind you and proceed to the intersection, then turn left. Follow Via Roma for 900 meters, then take the second exit at the roundabout and continue for 1.8 km along Via Trieste. Just before the chapel of San Gabriele dell’Addolorata, turn right onto Via Ca’ Erizzo.
Follow the canal for 1 km, venturing into the quiet rural landscape marked by lush vineyards and endless cornfields.
At the intersection, keep right until you reach the gas pipeline, then continue north on Via Riviera. The privileged position of the road offers wide-ranging views of the Polverara countryside, crossed by the winding course of the Bacchiglione, whose grassy banks are home to lush poplars, willows, elms, hackberries, and groves of common reeds.
Cross the Riviera bridge and continue along Via Argine Sinistro. After about 1.5 km, keep right onto Via Fiumicello ovest. Proceed east along the canal for 1.7 km and turn right onto Via Volparo, then cross the town center for 850 meters until you reach the starting point.
Fair Market of the Polverara Hen
The traditional celebration takes place every year between November and December at the sports facilities in Viale dello Sport.
Recommended for food lovers, the event offers a menu full of indulgent dishes, from lasagna with hen, turkey and pork ragù, to tortellini in broth and homemade tomato gnocchi. Meat lovers can savor exquisite local specialties such as the great boiled Polverara hen, glazed baked pork shank, baked stuffed coppone, fried chicken legs, and donkey stew, to pair with local wines.
To finish on a sweet note, specialties such as cream millefeuille, Sacher torte, and apple strudel await you.
