Where is Legnaro?
The municipality of Legnaro borders to the northeast with Saonara, to the northwest with Padova, to the southeast with Brugine, to the southwest with Polverara, to the east with Saonara, Sant’Angelo di Piove di Sacco and Brugine, to the west with Ponte San Nicolò and Polverara.
The horse festival
The lively popular event takes place every year in the month of June. The 2023 edition took place from Friday 2 to Monday 12 June in Viale dell’Università.
During the event, large food areas will be set up where you can enjoy delicious dishes with top-quality ingredients: from sandwiches filled with cured meats and cheeses, and bigoli with duck ragù, to sizzling grilled ribeye steaks to be enjoyed with cold pints of beer.
The program also includes equestrian shows and recreational sports activities to give even the little ones a chance to familiarize themselves with these magnificent and noble animals.
In the large concert area, numerous tribute bands will let loose, ready to make us relive timeless rock music hits: from Pink Floyd to Queen, from AC/DC to Linkin Park, just to name a few!
If you love animals and are wondering what to do in Legnaro, the horse festival is an opportunity to spend the spring season in the setting of a pleasant rural village about 15 km from the historic center of Padova.

Legnaro feast and fair
In 2022 the event took place from Friday 2 to Tuesday 13 September in front of the municipal seat in Piazza Costituzione and in the surrounding streets.
The traditional centuries-old fair includes an amusement park in Viale dello Sport dotted with irresistible rides for adrenaline seekers: from the whirling Tagadà to the giant octopus bright with electric lights, one of the most iconic rides in funfairs, from the pirate galleon, whose breathtaking oscillations simulate the waves of a stormy sea, to the mammoth KING, an attraction consisting of a giant metal arm with seats attached at its end, arranged in a circle.
In addition to spinning turbulently on itself, the ride moves at high speed from top to bottom with an arcing motion, exposing fearless passengers to a gravitational acceleration that can reach 4.5 G.
During the festival you can quench your thirst with cold pints of beer and enjoy delicious homemade dishes.
Also animating the event will be sports competitions, a charity lottery, and painting and photography exhibitions.
