Where is Villa Premoli located?
The charming setting of the Valcavàsia in which Villa Premoli stands is nestled between the hilly belt of the Asolano and the imposing bulk of the Grappa massif, whose eastern spurs, marked by the peaks of Monte Palon, Monte Tomba and Monfenera, slope down towards the icy course of the Piave.
As you contemplate the stately residence, you are captivated by the Gothic flair of the quadrilobed openings that light the attic, by the red shutters of the windows that stand out against the whiteness of the façade, and by the chimneys that rival the cedars and cypresses of the Italian-style garden in height, bordered by an elegant low wall and adorned with an ancient Venetian well.
The proximity to the Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova
The village of Obledo is about two kilometres northeast of Possagno, the birthplace of Antonio Canova, home to the Museo Gypsotheca named after him and the Tempio Canoviano, where the remains of the celebrated sculptor, an undisputed master of Neoclassicism and author of masterpieces such as Amor and Psyche, the Three Graces and Paolina Borghese, rest.
Architecture of Villa Premoli

The stately residence, with a rectangular plan, consists of three above-ground floors plus a mezzanine.
The layout of the rooms in the main building reflects the traditional tripartite scheme of the Venetian palace, with a central through-hall and four side rooms.
From the privileged position of the noble residence, flanked by the stables and an airy barchessa with loggia, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Asolo hills that shape the landscape on the horizon.
The main façade of Villa Premoli
Facing south over a thriving olive grove and a well-kept vineyard, the main façade is symmetrical and vertically divided into five sections. Marked by paired windows with lintels, the central section and those at the ends of the front, whose central axis continues in the three chimneys that complete the building’s vertical development, flank the two entrance portals, both preceded by five steps and finished with a moulded frame.
A decorative strip crowns the two mullioned windows above each entrance, lintelled on the first floor and arch-headed on the upper level. The latter opens onto a stone balcony supported by four corbels.
In the mezzanine, twelve quadrilobed openings, aligned with the windows below, open up, above which a dentil motif adorns the eaves cornice along the entire perimeter of the building.
The façades of the stately residence are horizontally marked by plaster bands that run at the height of the upper and lower transoms of the windows.

The history of Villa Premoli
Once owned by the Bianchi, wool entrepreneurs present in Obledo since the 15th century, the property passed in the second half of the 19th century to the family of the Premoli Counts, of whom Enrico Spagnolo, the current owner together with his wife Paola, is a descendant.
The careful renovation and restoration work carried out on Villa Premoli has brought the noble complex back to its former splendour, while preserving its historical authenticity.
The vineyard and the winery

In the area once used for the brolo lies the lush vineyard for the production of a certified organic Prosecco DOCG, which can be tasted in the evocative winery of the complex. The latter dates back to 1679, as shown by the date carved inside it.
Villa Premoli, Historic Residence and Charming Agriturismo

Furnished with antique furniture, the six rooms in the main building combine the elegance and refinement of a 17th-century stately residence with the hospitality of a country house equipped with modern comforts and the services needed for excellent hospitality.

In the Villa’s vast and bright noble hall, breakfast is served with local products, while the ground-floor salons are ideal for hosting events, banquets and weddings in a truly unique setting.
