Where is Vigasio?
The municipality of Vigasio borders to the north with Castel d’Azzano, to the northwest with Villafranca di Verona, to the south with Trevenzuolo, to the east with Buttapietra and Isola della Scala, to the west with Povegliano Veronese and Nogarole Rocca.
Bike ride in Vigasio
The starting point of the short itinerary is the parish church of San Zeno at C.so Vittorio Emanuele II, 9/A. Leave the entrance of the place of worship behind you and walk along Via Papa Luciani, framed by linden and holm oaks, to the intersection, then turn right. At the roundabout, take the third exit and follow Via Montemezzi, Via Alighieri, Via Dante Alighieri and Via Verona for 1.6 km. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Via Forette.
Follow Via Forette and Via Solferino for 2 km, then keep left onto Via Magenta. Proceed along Via Magenta, Via Forette and Via IV Novembre for 400 meters, then take the cycle path that winds along a canal with grassy banks. After 1.4 km, you can continue the cycle path westward until you reach the municipality of Buttapietra, or return to the starting point by retracing the itinerary backwards.
The polenta fair
The 2023 edition of the polenta festival in Vigasio took place from Thursday, October 12 to Sunday, November 5 at the Vigasio sports hall in Via Alzeri.
During the event, the Vigasio sports hall hosts a large and comfortable dining area where you can taste specialties that enhance local products. In addition to polenta, an ancient peasant recipe based on corn flour to be paired with cheeses, cured meats and mushrooms, the menu of the last edition included inviting bigoli with duck, donkey and amatriciana, the typical boiled meat with pearà, risottos with radicchio and Monte Veronese, succulent grilled meat and mixed fried foods.

Forette Sound Music
The 2023 edition of Forette Sound Music took place from Thursday, June 1 to Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Piazza Unità d’Italia.
As every year, the event features exciting concerts to relive some of the greatest successes of Italian and international rock music. The 2023 edition saw performances by tribute bands of Vasco Rossi, Nomadi and talented DJs to let loose to the rhythm of disco music from the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties.
A recommended occasion for food lovers, the event features spacious and comfortable tent structures where you can enjoy tasty hamburgers, polenta accompanied by salamella, bacon and coppa as well as ribs, sausages and grilled chops to pair with local wines and cold pints of beer.

The former oratory of San Michele
Starting from the parish church of San Zeno, leave the entrance of the place of worship behind you, walk along Via Papa Luciani to the intersection and turn left. Follow the provincial road for about 350 meters until you find the former oratory of San Michele Arcangelo on your right.
Founded almost a thousand years ago, the minute medieval building features a simple double-pitched structure in brick and pebbles. Surmounted by a small circular opening, the entrance portal is flanked by two architraved windows. On the south side of the structure rises a charming bell gable.
