The church of Madonna della Neve
Harmoniously set in a pleasant small meadow surrounded by maritime pines, black poplars, white willows, and young oaks, the charming 17th-century place of worship is distinguished by a gabled facade delimited by pilaster strips connected by pointed hanging arches that follow the profile of the slopes.
Accessible via a massive wooden door above which a circular oculus opens, the church houses white marble altars adorned with splendid sculptures of cherubs.
Further elements of architectural value are the elegant pointed single-lancet windows in the Gothic style that open on the sides of the building.
Villa Repeta
Located at Via Piazza Vecchia, 1, Villa Repeta is one of the most significant historical landmarks of the municipality. Built in the 17th century where a Palladian villa once stood, the sumptuous noble residence is characterized by a facade vertically divided into three sectors, the central one of which, on the ground floor, is marked by four Doric pilasters framing the portal, surmounted by a lunette window, and two balustraded windows, also crowned by lunettes. The three openings are decorated with elaborate wrought-iron overdoors and three mascheroni.
On the upper floor, the facade is rhythmically centered by four Ionic pilasters between which three windows open, above which stands the triangular dentilled pediment containing a noble coat of arms.
Inside, the villa houses a dazzling heritage of frescoes of mythological-legendary nature and formidable illusionistic architectures.
