Public parks in the municipality of Zero Branco
Parco Pubblico Penne mozze
In addition to testifying to the value placed on nature and biodiversity, the vast area of public green space realized near the center of Zero Branco demonstrates the desire to promote human relations, while at the same time consolidating a healthy and lasting relationship with nature.
The vegetation characterizing the northern part of the park consists of forest-origin plants that over the next few years will form a lively and unspoiled tree canopy, created thanks to the contribution and solidarity of the nursery schools, the Corpo Forestale dello Stato and Veneto Agricoltura.
The northern and southern zones are bordered by rows of tall trees enriched by colorful floral areas.
Our Park
An additional green area open to the public and ideal for spending the weekend in contact with nature is “Our Park”, recently enriched with a walnut tree and two other trees, planted in the space between Galilei and Meucci streets, thanks to the participation of the Marconi elementary school.
The development and promotion of public green spaces cement the bond that unites human beings with the natural environment, as well as raising awareness of the importance of preserving and defending the plant biodiversity of landscape areas that, in addition to being pleasant to the eye, constitute a healthy and fragile ecosystem that deserves protection.
The park of Villa Guidini
The sumptuous centuries-old park of the magnificent residence is dotted with over a hundred trees from all over the world. The enchanting atmosphere of the green area is further enhanced by a beautiful fountain and a lively pond.
The Villas in the Municipality of Zero Branco
Villa Guidini
Located at Via Guidini, 52, the eponymous villa is one of the most significant artistic and historical elements of the municipality of Zero Branco.
The centuries-old architectural complex includes several buildings with distinct functions, such as warehouses for storing agricultural tools, the stable, and the majestic manor house distinguished by the refined decorations that characterize the elegant facade, facing south.
The buildings on the sides of the manor house create a harmonious and balanced view of the architectural complex.
The facade of the lordly dwelling culminates with a pediment flanked by curved volutes in late Baroque taste.
The tympanum is supported by four pilasters of Doric order separated by fine balconies.
An ornament of particular interest are the lion heads visible above the windows.
Villa Albuzio
Located at Via Treviso, 7, 31059 Zero Branco (TV), villa Albuzio is a splendid example of Renaissance architecture harmoniously set in a vast garden rich in ash trees and lindens, whose arrangement, which hides part of the building from the visitors’ view, seems to give the villa an aura of mystery and suggestion that increases its charm.
The close connection with nature is visible in the floral ornaments on the facade.
Confirming the value attributed to art by the noble family are the heraldic coat of arms and the precious frescoes and stuccoes that enrich the halls of the manor house of the villa.
Archpriest Church of Zero Branco
Careful restoration work now allows us to admire precious centuries-old stuccoes, as well as an altarpiece depicting the Madonna with the baby Jesus and Saints Mark, Paul, John the Baptist and a music-making angel.
Another work of notable historical and artistic value is the depiction of Saint Sebastian. The recently restored painting on canvas has brought to light the subtle and splendid chromatisms of the painting, while at the same time highlighting the suffering of the Saint set in a romantic natural context that accentuates his suffering.
Museo della Civiltà Contadina di Zero Branco
Set up and curated by Giuliano Donà and his wife Paola, the Museo della Civiltà Contadina is immersed in the rural environment of Zero Branco and houses all the tools and utensils of the past, carefully displayed inside rooms set up to faithfully recreate the rooms and bedrooms of the early twentieth century. The presence of authentic utensils of the time allows the visitor to immerse themselves in the daily life experienced by our grandparents and great-grandparents.
The various agricultural tools on display testify to the hard peasant life of the past, made of toil and hard work. Stand out for their perfect state of conservation are a series of vintage tractors and ancient steam engines used as motive power to operate threshers, mills and sawmills.
The museum, located in Via Romolo Murri n 16 A, Zero Branco, is a must-see destination for anyone interested in observing and learning about the historical and cultural testimonies that characterized the habits and traditions of our territory and that, thanks to the museum and the care of its founders, continue to live on today.
