Villa Cainaqua, Bevilacqua, Candio
Located at Via Damiano Chiesa, 32, Villa Cainaqua, Bevilacqua, Candio is one of the most fascinating historical buildings in Pressana and the Lower Veronese area. The interiors of the ancient palace are enhanced by extraordinary Renaissance frescoes.
Dating back to the 15th century, the majestic architectural complex is harmoniously set in a lush tree-lined garden a short distance from the church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Caselle. A white balustraded double-flight staircase leads to a massive wooden portal crowned by a semicircular window.
Completing the vertical development of the stately residence is an elevated body, adorned with elegant battlements, which rises at the top of the structure in a central position.
Villa Querini Stampalia
Located at Via Giovanni XXIII, 24, the sumptuous 16th-century palace is immersed in the radiant countryside of Pressana, punctuated by lush vineyards and cornfields.
Bounded by a perimeter wall of exposed brick, the courtyard includes an ancient stone well and is dotted with precious sculptures shaded by cedars, palms, and cypresses.
The southern façade features two triple windows with round arches, of which the lateral ones are walled up. The triple window on the ground floor is rhythmically divided by Ionic half-columns, while the one on the main floor, softened by a metal balustrade, is divided by Corinthian half-columns.
The two triple windows are flanked by four rectangular windows with architraves. Above the main floor, four small square windows open.
The charming building is topped by a double-pitched roof crowned with swallowtail battlements.
The (private) property is accessible through a charming entrance formed by two lowered arches supported by pillars adorned with noble coats of arms.
