The 2023 edition of Costermano Summer Fest took place from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July in the splendid natural setting of the Parco dell’Amicizia dei Popoli.
As every year, during this lively event the centre of Costermano comes alive with open-air concerts featuring tribute bands reliving the greatest hits of Italian and international rock music, performances by talented DJs, children’s entertainment areas with inflatable games, and roaming food stalls where you can choose from mouth-watering dishes, from succulent hamburgers and wood-fired pizzas to tempting artisan gelato.
The event programme also includes craft and recreational workshops to discover the ancient trades and pastimes of our grandparents and great-grandparents.

The Festa della Quarta d’Agosto
The 2023 edition of the Festa della Quarta d’Agosto took place from Thursday 24 to Monday 28 August near the parish church of Sant’Antonio Abate.

Bike Ride in Costermano sul Garda: the Valley of the Mills
The starting point of this short itinerary is the car park on Via Valtesina (45.58375539884916, 10.725301298823858). Follow the Valley of the Mills trail for 1.7 km along ancient stone farmhouses shaded by black locusts, silver olive trees, oaks, ash trees, maples and thick clumps of river reeds growing lush along a clear stream.
At this point (45.59425681933028, 10.736208784013616) keep left and continue north along the winding path enclosed by green wooded hills. After the steep hairpin bends of the trail, partly dirt and partly cobbled, keep left and continue to the intersection with Via Campagnola.
Turn right and proceed north along Via Campagnola and Via IV Novembre for 1.3 km, crossing the hamlet of Colombaron and the fraction of Castion Veronese. Once you reach the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, turn right and descend along Via Ponte Tesina, flanking the majestic garden of Villa Pellegrini Cipolla. Continue southeast for about 3 km along Via Ponte Tesina and Via Primo Maggio, passing the charming villages of Santo, San Verolo and Giarole surrounded by lush vineyards enclosed by sinuous wooded slopes that fade into the horizon.
At the roundabout take the first exit and follow Viale della Repubblica to the intersection, then keep right and proceed west for 1.8 km along provincial road 8 and Via Salita degli Olivi. At the roundabout take the first exit and turn right onto Via Valtesina to return to the starting point.
