The municipality of Concamarise borders Bovolone to the north, Sanguinetto to the south, Cerea to the east, and Salizzole to the west.
The feast of Sant’Antonio Abate
The liturgical calendar celebrates Sant’Antonio Abate on January 18. The 2023 edition of the feast in honor of the saint took place on Sunday, January 15, in the main streets and squares of the village.
As every year, the event program includes spacious and comfortable tent structures where you can choose from exquisite specialties, both home-style and gourmet, that highlight local products, from the renowned ‘risotto di Conca’ with clinto, lombata, and Monte Veronese cheese, to boiled meat with tongue, cotechino, horseradish, and pearà (a traditional Veronese sauce made with bone marrow, breadcrumbs, meat broth, olive oil, salt, and pepper). The menu includes the tempting ‘moretta alla piastra’, a typical Veronese cured meat served with slices of steaming polenta and local wine excellence.
To enliven the historic heart of the rural town, there will be exhibitions of vintage tractors, markets, and artisan workshops illustrating the ancient crafts of our ancestors, as well as plowing contests and picturesque parades.
If you are wondering what to do in Concamarise and want to experience the lively folklore of a charming rural town in the Bassa Padovana, the village festival combines the solemnity of the holy Mass in honor of Sant’Antonio Abate with the cheerful and carefree atmosphere of a bygone village festival, featuring live music, dance evenings, artisan exhibitions, livestock shows, and mouthwatering food and wine specialties.

Villa Verità
Located at Via Piazza, XII, the sumptuous property is enclosed by a brick perimeter wall, within which extends a lush nineteenth-century tree-lined garden.
One of the oldest and most significant landmarks of the municipality of Concamarise, the noble architectural complex consists of a series of L-shaped buildings arranged around a majestic dovecote tower.
Starting from the former ancient Church of Santi Lorenzo e Stefano, leave behind the square framed by ailanthus, oaks, and horse chestnuts, and keep right on Via Piazza until you reach the property’s wall enclosure covered in a dense ivy cloak.
Immersed in a large agricultural estate, the main building is spread over three floors and is internally adorned with charming frescoes.
Former ancient Church of Santi Lorenzo e Stefano
Located at Via Piazza, 39, the place of worship is distinguished by a double-pitched facade facing a charming square, partly paved and partly cobbled, adorned with two statues.
The front is vertically divided by pilasters, Doric in the lower register, Ionic in the upper register. Surmounted by a triangular pediment supported by sinuous corbels, the massive wooden portal of the church is flanked by two single-light windows topped with round arches.
In the upper register, between the two pairs of Ionic pilasters, there is a niche with a round arch. Concluding the vertical development of the structure are the architrave, the frieze, and the dentiled triangular pediment crowned by a metal cross.
Beside the church rises the soaring square-based bell tower featuring a clock with Roman numerals. In the belfry, four elegant mullioned windows open.
If you are wondering what to do in Concamarise, the former church of Santi Lorenzo and Stefano is internally adorned with splendid sculptures, polychrome marble altars, and centuries-old frescoes.
