Dating back to the 12th century, the imposing structure stands out with two massive quadrangular towers, the oldest of which, the western one, is crowned by elegant swallowtail battlements.

In the center of the facade opens the large wooden portal surmounted by an architrave supported by corbels. The entrance door is set within a large arched profile, slightly recessed from the wall face.
Completing the vertical development of the structure are the molded architrave, the frieze bearing the inscription IN HONOREM S. MARTINI EP., and the dentiled triangular pediment crowned by a white cross and two lateral acroterial statues. In the center of the tympanum is the acronym D.O.M. (Deo Optimo Maximo).
Accessible via a lush avenue of maples, the single nave of the neoclassical place of worship is punctuated by Ionic pilasters framing the side niches and supporting the entablature. The vast and bright nave is covered by a splendidly frescoed lunette pavilion vault.
