Unmissable appointment for connoisseurs of greasy and indulgent cuisine, the fair includes dining areas and tasting points from which emanates the intense perfume of chops, sausages and ribs sizzling on the grill, steaming polenta on the griddle, piadine rich with cured meats and appetizing arrosticini (skewers of sheep meat from Abruzzo known to be addictive) and fish specialties like exquisite fried fish to be savored with local wines and mugs of beer.
The event program includes orchestras for dancing to liscio music on comfortable dance floors, performances by talented DJs with hypnotic and overwhelming rhythms as well as tribute bands to relive timeless international rock and pop music hits, not to mention the hilarious rides bright with electric lights and the large inflatable games for the enjoyment of the little ones.

The Church of San Michele Arcangelo
Located at Via Roma, 43, the parish church represents, together with the charming little church of the elm and Villa Gazzetta, one of the most significant cultural and architectural monuments of the municipality.
Set in the urban heart of Sossano, the white mass of the place of worship stands out for its neoclassical double-pitched facade.
Surmounted by a triangular pediment supported by corbels, the wooden portal is preceded by a pronaos punctuated by Corinthian columns and crowned by eight statues of saints. The upper part of the front is rhythmically marked by six Corinthian pilasters flanking a niche in which is inserted a sculpture of the Madonna and Child.
Completing the vertical development of the structure is the triangular dentilled pediment on top of which stands a stone cross.
Facing an elegant square bordered by lush magnolias, the church is flanked by a soaring bell tower culminating in an octagonal spire. A further element of value are the mullioned windows that open in the belfry.
Monte della Croce and Monte Cistorello
The starting point of the itinerary is the cemetery of Sossano. Proceed west along Via S. Michele to the intersection with Via Monte della Croce. Turn right and proceed for 1.4 km, then take the rocky path on your left that goes into a dense tangle of trees and shrubs.
The path winds along the mountain ridge through the lush forest vegetation which, thinning out in some points, gives way to grassy clearings and fields dotted with pale olive trees.
The effort of the hike is rewarded by the enchanting wide-angle view of the rural landscape punctuated by dark and thick hedges that disappears on the horizon where the sinuous profile of the Berici Hills is outlined, an ancient geological formation once submerged by the sea and today an invaluable treasure chest of biodiversity covered in woods.
If you are wondering what to do in Sossano and wish to explore pleasant sunny slopes from whose summit you can embrace with your gaze a charming valley dotted with picturesque rural villages, visiting Monte della Croce and Monte Cistorello is definitely a recommended experience!
