The Mostra dei Vini di Collina event will be held at the town hall of San Pietro di Feletto in Via Marconi 1.
One of the most anticipated and loved events in the Marca Trevigiana, the Mostra dei Vini di Collina is an exhibition aimed at promoting the excellent quality of the wine production of the San Pietro di Feletto area.
As every year, the long-awaited food and wine fair aims to enhance and make known the unique and high-quality characteristics of local viticulture and gastronomy through various tasting activities where refinement and healthiness combine with the exceptional taste of DOCG wines, of which Prosecco DOP will be the protagonist.
The event is organized by the local Pro Loco and the administration of San Pietro di Feletto, with the presence of the Consorzio Pro Loco Quartier del Piave and the Città del vino association.
La quarta de Otobre
Driven by passion and initiative, the Association “La Quarta de Otobre” has set itself the goal for six years of keeping alive the ancient folklore that for centuries, every fourth Sunday of October, has animated the historic heart of San Pietro di Feletto.
Food and wine exhibitors, musical events and recreational activities for children accompany evenings of fun and carefreeness that will end with the traditional tombola, a board game dating back to the 18th century of Neapolitan origin.
For those wondering what to do in San Pietro di Feletto and looking for information about the fun autumn festival of Santa Maria di Feletto, we invite you to visit the website of the Association “La Quarta de Otobre”.
Caves of San Pietro di Feletto
The exciting itinerary unfolds in the lush natural setting of Val Trippera, a green oasis whose spectacular heritage of faunal, tree, floral and plant biodiversity is enriched and fed by the cold, clear waters of the Crevada.
The ancient moraine formation is crossed by sinuous underground limestone galleries that allow visitors to admire mysterious and evocative natural cavities, boreholes and sinkholes, created following the fracture of the conglomerate shelf of the Cenozoic era (from 65 to 2 million years ago) that extends majestically over the upper part of the municipal territory.
In addition to the caves of “Landri” and “Landron”, one of the karst caves of greatest historical and cultural interest in the area is the “grotta dea graspa” whose name derives from the practice of illegally distilling delicious grappa in the shelter offered by the rocky inlet, until the end of the 1960s.
In detail: a trail to discover Val Trippera
From the Pieve of San Pietro di Feletto to the village of Anese.
The suggested itinerary starts from the Pieve of San Pietro di Feletto at Via Roncalli, 1 and follows the signs for route 019. From the parking lot of the ancient place of worship, take the white lane that flanks the Società Agricola Paeanca at Piazza Giovanni XXIII°, 4. The itinerary winds through vast cultivated vineyards and skirts a lush and silent wooded area, continuing until reaching Via Mason.
Turn right and after reaching a fork a short distance away, at a large tree, keep left. The trail winds through the gentle sunny slopes that snake between the artificial landscape marked by regular and precise rows of Prosecco and the wild environment that proliferates, uncorrupted by human intervention along the banks of the Crevada stream.
Thus, we enter the flourishing scenario of the shady tree canopy that offers shelter to the thriving undergrowth rich in ferns and covered in spring with bright floral varieties such as primrose, anemone, dog’s tooth, snowdrops and wild squill, to name a few, as well as habitat for protected species like the salamander.
The clear waters of the Crevada have shaped with their lively course the surface of the ancient rock formation, creating grooves and carving deep fissures and dark sinkholes.
Particularly characteristic elements to encounter along the way are the aforementioned “grotta dea graspa” and the karst cavities of Leandri and Landron. Keeping left, continue along the itinerary that follows the stream until you reach a small bridge, after which you will reach a pleasant grassy area where the evocative remains of the Crevada Mill stand, no longer functioning for more than a century.
Resuming the walk, we immerse ourselves again in the lush tree vegetation and, after crossing a ford, the green and bright path leads to the village of Anese, a picturesque medieval village whose name derives from the tradition of wool working.
For lovers of history and nature who are wondering what to do in San Pietro di Feletto, this itinerary will make your visit unforgettable and meaningful.
Pieve of San Pietro di Feletto
Located at Via Roncalli, 1, 31020 San Pietro di Feletto (TV), the sanctuary is one of the monuments of greatest artistic and historical significance for its thousand-year origin and the spectacular fresco painting complex that decorates its internal walls.
The splendid temple of Lombard origin, harmoniously set in the radiant context of the Treviso hill countryside, is characterized by a sober yet solemn structure, with a gabled façade and bare external walls, whose severe appearance contrasts with the wonderful array of ancient frescoes (whose style recalls Byzantine art) that enrich its three naves, accessible through a suggestive medieval portico.
