Where is Noventa Padovana?
The municipality of Noventa Padovana borders to the north with Vigonza, to the southeast with Vigonovo, to the west and southwest with Padua, and to the east with Stra.
The Festival on the Bridge
The 2023 edition of the Festival on the Bridge is scheduled for Friday 14 and Saturday 15 July, as usual, on the floodplain and banks of the Piovego.
To access the bridge you can leave your car in Piazzetta Giovannelli or in Parking Europa, in Via Caduti sul lavoro.
The catering areas will be set up at the bridge piers, imposing red brick structures adorned with two stone coats of arms, one depicting the Savoy eagle, the other the Lion of Saint Mark. Both piers also bear two plaques with the inscription “SOSTEGNO DI NOVENTA ANNO MCMXIX”.
During the festival, in addition to enjoying a suggestive view of the Piovego landscape, you can savor the exquisite gray octopus, one of the most representative products of the area.
Dating back to the 17th century, the Venetian recipe involves preparing a broth with Cabernet Franc, onion, carrots, celery, and bay leaf. Once boiling, the previously washed octopus is added. The dish is seasoned with chopped parsley, a pinch of salt, olive oil, and lemon juice.
This tasty dish celebrates the synthesis between the gray octopus, a sought-after mollusk caught in the lagoon of Venice and Chioggia, and Cabernet Franc, a wine variety grown in the Padua area and in the fertile soils of the Euganean Hills.

The Folpo Fair
The 2023 edition of the Folpo Fair will begin on Thursday 19 October in the historic heart of the ancient city.
On the occasion of this lively popular festival, an ideal event for food lovers, the main squares of the town fill with hundreds of exhibitors offering delicious dishes made with top-quality local products: from folpi (octopus) and bovoletti (whelks), the undisputed protagonists of the event, to excellent seafood risottos and homemade pasta. There will also be desserts with seasonal fruit and roasted chestnuts in paper cones.
To liven up the festive evenings, there will be large amusement parks with thrilling rides shining with electric lights and concert areas where you can let loose to the rhythm of rock music and DJs.

Villa Giovannelli Colonna
Located on Via Argine sinistro del Piovego in the hamlet of Noventana, Villa Giovannelli Colonna is one of the most significant cultural landmarks of Noventa Padovana.
Harmoniously set in a vast park dotted with cedars, cypresses, lindens, planes, poplars, and magnolias, the sumptuous 16th-century residence is accessible via an elegant staircase leading to a majestic pronaos punctuated by eight Corinthian columns above which stands the triangular dentiled pediment crowned by five statues.
Carefully restored, the noble residence is internally embellished with spectacular frescoes and refined Murano chandeliers and today represents an important cultural hub ideal for organizing concerts, art exhibitions, and conferences.
