A children’s event for which you must sign up a year in advance to attend the lessons;
the aspiring little wizards, coming from all over Italy, head to lessons in spells and potions

Thiene (Vicenza), 27 August – The Italian School of Magic opened this afternoon at Castello di Thiene, for three unmissable and original events: the first until 29 August, followed by 30 August to 1 September and then from 6 to 8 September. The city of Thiene comes alive among colourful cloaks and the swirling of magic wands. Fans of the world’s most famous little wizard arrived by the hundreds from all over Italy – dressed to the nines and, of course, carrying the inevitable wand – to enjoy this extraordinary three-day experience. It is a real school, complete with magic classes, a potions lesson, a final exam and the award of a diploma. To access the courses, passion and determination are needed, since places fill up very quickly and you now have to book a year in advance to secure apprentice wizard status.
“The participants – explains Francesca di Thiene, co-owner of Castello di Thiene – after receiving the admission letter, are welcomed into the castle; from that moment the adventure begins: three days inside a real school of magic.”
The success of this event lies in the professionalism of the actors of the Italian School of Magic, who make the initiative unique and particularly realistic thanks to costumes and sets. The rest is done by the rooms of the venue – Castello di Thiene – which are set up ad hoc. The event is attended by boys and girls from primary and lower secondary schools.
