In the following article, five of the most evocative ancient villas in the municipality of Carbonera are listed. Surrounded by vast and elegant centuries-old gardens, these spectacular manor houses represent an invaluable testimony to the architectural and pictorial heritage of our region.

The sumptuous residence is located at Viale Brigata Marche, 24, 31030 Carbonera, in the province of Treviso (TV).
The foundations of the monumental architectural complex rise upon an ancient Paleovenetian embankment later converted into a castrum in Roman times due to its strategic position.
Immersed in the serene natural setting of a vast Italian garden, the building designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi is internally decorated with vibrant centuries-old frescoes (executed by Pietro Antonio Cerva and Giovanbattista Canal) whose excellent state of preservation takes visitors into a dimension where time seems to have stopped in the 17th and 18th centuries.
2 Villa Perocco di Meduna, Among the Most Splendid Rural Villas in Treviso
Where is Villa Perocco di Meduna?
Villa Valier Loredan Perocco di Meduna is located at Via Valier, 28, 31030 Vascon di Carbonera, in the province of Treviso (TV).
Magnificently set in the rural landscape of the Vascon countryside, the main body of the white palace, flanked by barchesse punctuated by large round arches, stands majestically within a serene tree-lined garden bounded by a low brick perimeter wall.
The facade of the manor house features a rusticated base (a type of masonry characterized by protruding stone or brick blocks to create a fluted effect with ornamental value) from which three entrance doors emerge.
The piano nobile is distinguished by three central arched windows framed by four refined Ionic pilasters above which rest the architrave, frieze, and pediment bearing a circular opening in the center of the tympanum.
The sumptuous noble palace is internally decorated with an impressive cycle of frescoes of a legendary nature.
3 Villa Bragadin, Ruberti

The refined three-story manor house is partly hidden by the evocative presence of majestic centuries-old trees, and partly by the high perimeter wall. The noble residence and the adjoining barchessa were most likely built in the 17th century.
The main body has a series of arched windows on the first floor surmounted by molded frames.
4 Villa Visentini Caccianiga
Where is Villa Visentini Caccianiga?
Villa Visentini Caccianiga is located on Via Antonio Caccianiga in Carbonera, in the province of Treviso (TV).
Dating back to the 18th century, the splendid manor house is about a ten-minute walk from Villa Vitturi and Villa Sugana Saltore Caccianiga, elegant historic homes in the municipality of Maserada sul Piave.
The imposing central body, visible through the elaborate iron gate, is arranged on three floors and features two large three-light windows in a central position, one with a stone parapet on the piano nobile and one on the top floor corresponding to the dormer. Below the eaves cornice there are four additional quadrangular openings.
The property includes a large barchessa, a vast expanse of cultivated fields, and a lush forest that flanks the white rural dwelling.
5 Villa Maria

Where is Villa Maria?
Likely built in the 17th century, the square-shaped residential core is characterized by a compact volume, divided into three floors including the attic, reflecting the traditional structure of the Venetian palace with a grand central hall and side rooms.
An intermediate volume connects the central body with the imposing arcaded barchessa. Topped by a reduced upper floor, the latter is punctuated by five round arches.
The property includes on the left side of the entrance gate a white oratory, whose restoration was completed in 2019. Facing Via Grande di Pezzan, the facade of the place of worship bears above the portal the inscription: Ave Maria.
