The popular festival, organized by the Francenigo pro loco, is open to anyone who wants to spend a quiet sunny day in contact with unspoiled nature, savoring specialties of the local cuisine and learning aspects of the culture and traditions that, however ancient, are kept alive by the sense of belonging of the inhabitants of the area and the interest and curiosity that entice numerous visitors to come every year.
Ansa Restera Zandegiacomi
The nature trail runs along the banks of the Livenza, a river originating from the Vauclusian springs, whose cold and clear waters have favored the spontaneous growth of a lush and verdant biodiversity heritage, offering visitors glimpses of rare beauty.
The sinuous meanders of the river have led to the formation of a fertile patch of grassy land enveloped by the Restera Zandegiacomi bend, within which various hydrophilic, shrubby, floral and tree species thrive, such as elms, alders, black poplars, white willows, dogwoods, buckthorns, elders, brambles and grey willows, as well as fauna, amphibians, birds and numerous fish species such as sticklebacks, trout, pike and bleak, whose presence testifies to the quality of the waters of the Livenza.

The Zacchi forest hosts a spectacular tree variety that includes English oaks, hornbeams, ashes, elms and maples, as well as several floral species including the mezereon or February daphne, a delicate shrub whose flowers range from pink to red-purple, the white wood anemone with its pure white petals, sometimes with pinkish or pale blue hues, and the Solomon’s seal, with its characteristic bell-shaped pendulous flowers.
The fabulous woodland site is an ideal destination for birdwatching enthusiasts thanks to the presence of various bird species such as the Green Woodpecker, the Sparrowhawk, the Jay and the Tawny Owl.
