Where is Trissino?
The municipality of Trissino borders to the north with Brogliano, to the south with Arzignano, to the southeast with Montecchio Maggiore, to the southwest with Nogarole Vicentino, to the east with Castelgomberto and Montecchio Maggiore, to the west with Nogarole Vicentino.

The festival at San Benedetto
The 2023 edition will take place on July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 at Piazza G. G. Trissino, 10, 36070 Trissino (VI).
To enliven the warm summer evenings, there will be theatrical performances, dance and illusion shows, the inevitable charity raffle, and of course mouth-watering dishes, from exquisite bigoli with tomato sauce to succulent chops, sausages, and grilled ribs, just to mention some of the appetizing recipes from the rich festival menu.

The Bastie trail
The starting point of the itinerary is the parking lot in Piazza Mazzini. Head west on Via Dalle Ore to the intersection with Via Fontanelle. Turn right and walk along Via Fontanelle for 70 meters, then turn left onto Via S. Antonio. After 100 meters, turn right onto Via Sant’Antonio. After 150 meters, on your right, near a Staghorn Sumac with flowers clustered in erect panicles that in autumn take on an intense fire-red hue, you will find a steep grassy trail marked by stone steps that climbs the slopes of the hill.
If you take a moment to turn south before entering the trail, you can embrace with your gaze the vast plain, bounded on the horizon by the distant profile of majestic hills, dotted with farmhouses surrounded by endless fields crisscrossed by hedges of willows, poplars, plane trees, and acacias.
The path runs along the side of the green wooded hill towards the west, passes by the cemetery, and emerges onto an asphalt road. Turn left and proceed along Via Pianacattiva di Mezzo for 230 meters, then keep right and go up the asphalt road that leads to the dirt track of the Pianacattiva trail.
At this point (45.57601678891254, 11.357383910010148) keep left, pass Contrà Maghi, and continue to the intersection with Via Piana Cattiva Bassa. Turn left and proceed along Via Piana Cattiva Bassa for 350 meters and keep right. At the intersection with Via Munaretti, turn right and proceed for 300 meters, then turn right onto Via dei Mulini. Follow Via dei Mulini for 300 meters along the clear Arpega stream, then turn right.
Proceed for about 260 meters along the winding asphalt road that crosses a pleasant grassy expanse from which a majestic black poplar stands out, then keep right and continue northwest for 750 meters, flanked by the canopies of thriving mulberry trees.
At the intersection, turn right and proceed along Via S. Nicolò for 2 km among lush vineyards, acacias, field maples, and stone walls covered with thick overgrown vegetation.
At this point (45.57020333580055, 11.366260511313799), turn right and proceed to the intersection with Via Pianacattiva di Mezzo. At the intersection, turn left and after about 70 meters, take the trail on your right and descend the wooded slope.
Once you reach the asphalt road (45.568635, 11.362066), continue along Via delle Bastie to the intersection. Turn left and proceed for 950 meters along Via Munaretti and Via delle Carrare. At the intersection with Via Fontanelle and Via Verona, turn left and continue on Via Dante Alighieri until you return to Piazza Mazzini.
