Discover what to do in San Zenone degli Ezzelini: the Torre degli Ezzelini, the Museo Multimediale Antica Pieve, the Oasi di San Daniele.
The beauty of San Zenone degli Ezzelini, a small town located at the westernmost edge of the province of Treviso (whose historic center is worth a visit), fascinates visitors with spectacular panoramic views of ancient stone villages nestled among green slopes populated by a lush variety of trees, fauna, and flora.
Where is San Zenone degli Ezzelini?
The municipality of San Zenone degli Ezzelini borders to the north with Borso del Grappa and Pieve del Grappa, to the south with Loria and Riese Pio X, to the east with Fonte, to the west with Mussolente.
Torre degli Ezzelini
Surrounded by olive trees, cedars, cypresses and many other tall plants, the ancient tower rises on the Castellaro hill, from whose privileged position one can overlook the town and the surrounding wooded area.
The noble house of the Ezzelini played a primary role in the territory during the 11th and 13th centuries.
In 1260 a coalition of the armies of Treviso, Padua and Vicenza besieged the castle of the illustrious house. Alberico II and his family were eventually captured, tortured, barbarously killed, their bodies abused and set on fire. The extinction of the Da Romano family was followed by the destruction of their fortress.
Where the walls of the defensive complex once stood, now stands the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte.
For history and hiking enthusiasts wondering what to do in San Zenone degli Ezzelini, a visit to the Torre degli Ezzelini will be a memorable experience!
Museo Multimediale Antica Pieve
Located at via Castellaro, 27, 31020 San Zenone degli Ezzelini (TV) in the enchanting setting of the Castellaro, the museum guides visitors through an educational itinerary that combines state-of-the-art audiovisual technologies with the ancient traces of the territory’s past, from prehistoric and pre-Roman finds to the history of the Da Romano family.
Parco Naturale Oasi San Daniele

Populated by a rich heritage of flora, trees and fauna, the Oasi includes routes usable by disabled people, accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
The area where the Parco Naturale Oasi San Daniele extends was once at the foot of a hill, along the banks of a lake basin. The deposit of fine silty and clayey sediments, carried by numerous watercourses, caused the uplifting of the area with the consequent disappearance of the lake and other bodies of water present in the high Treviso plain.
