Where is Grantorto?
The municipality of Grantorto borders to the north-east with Fontaniva, to the north-west with Carmignano di Brenta, to the south-east with Piazzola sul Brenta, to the south-west with Gazzo, to the east with San Giorgio in Bosco, to the west with San Pietro in Gù.
The festival of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
According to the liturgical calendar, the day dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel is July 16, although the celebration in her honor does not always coincide with this date. The 2022 edition took place from Friday 8 to Tuesday 12 July.

The 2022 appointment of Grantorto Beer Fest took place from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 August in the Piazzale el Filò at the municipal gym.
The rich program of the event includes a large stage where tribute bands will perform, allowing us to experience timeless Italian and international successes of rock music.

The Brenta path
To reach the natural site, you can leave your car at Via Principessa Jolanda, 34 in the hamlet of Piciacio, in a large grassy wooded area surrounded by cornfields.
The white dirt road flanked by dense hedges of willows, black locusts and poplars quickly leads to the Brenta cycle path, a winding itinerary that follows the icy course of the river born from the crystalline springs of Caldonazzo and Levico in the province of Trento.
The river forest constitutes a fragile and uncontaminated environment in which a complex heritage of bird and amphibian species finds its habitat.
The lush oasis of peace is an ideal destination for those who want to venture into the flourishing vegetation of silver willows, acacias, tree of heavens, poplars, cedars, elms, alders and ashes, or sunbathe on white pebble beaches lapped by the clear currents of the Brenta.
The little castle of Grantorto
Located at Via Roma, 33, the building reconciles characteristic elements of country houses, such as the wide round arches typical of the porticoes of centuries-old rustic buildings, with fairy-tale and medieval aspects recognizable in the two graceful towers made of brick and pebbles, one adorned with a pointed arch mullioned window and crowned with swallowtail battlements, the other embellished with a pattern of hanging arches and ending with a conical spire surmounted by a metal weather vane.
Also noteworthy is the elegant bell gable in which three single-lancet windows open.
The mill of Grantorto
Set in the historic heart of the town, the majestic example of industrial archaeology is located a few steps from the church of Saints Biagio and Daniele. From the parish square, proceed south along Via Umberto I. After 170 meters, turn left and walk along Via Vittorio Emanuele II for about 90 meters.
One of the most photogenic spots in the municipality, a pleasant public green area where lush hornbeams grow, is enclosed by the bifurcation of the canal that once fed the two wooden wheels of the imposing mill complex.
