Where is Gavello?

The Gavello Fair
The 2023 edition of the Gavello Fair took place from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, June 4 in the town center of Gavello.

Bike Ride in Gavello
The starting point of the bike ride is Piazza XX Settembre. Exit the parking lot and turn right onto Via Giacomo Matteotti, then proceed north for 1.5 km, entering the serene rural landscape of Polesine dotted with charming farmhouses and renovated buildings surrounded by greenery.
At the roundabout, take the first exit and proceed east for 4.5 km along Via Canalbianco Superiore. The first part of the route winds along the artificial waterway in the shade of willows, poplars, plane trees, black locusts, and many other riparian trees and shrubs.
Cross the bridge over the Padano Polesano collector, then keep left and proceed for 800 meters in the silent Rovigo plain crossed by sinuous canals. At the next intersection, turn left and follow the straight road that for 2.7 km crosses the fertile Rovigo countryside cultivated with corn.
At the crossroads, near a majestic poplar, turn right. The route runs southwest along Via Treponti and Via Sasso, entering the radiant countryside dotted with elegant farmhouses, renowned trattorias, imposing exposed-brick rural annexes facing well-kept vegetable gardens. Particularly evocative is the pumping station of the Gavello Dragonzo basin, one of the most photogenic spots on the itinerary.
At the intersection, turn right, then keep right again and follow Via Goresina for 1.5 km towards Villanova Marchesana. At the intersection with provincial road 33, keep right and proceed for just under 200 meters, then take Via Ponte and proceed for 600 meters along a placid watercourse that borders nurseries, well-tended vineyards, and sunny poplar groves.
After crossing the canal, turn left and follow Via Canalazzo for 1 km. At the intersection with Via Trombini, turn right and proceed north for 650 meters towards Anconetta, then keep left onto provincial road 31, passing characteristic farm buildings shaded by oaks, maritime pines, acacias, and many other tall trees.
Follow Via Serraiolo until you reach the entrance of a charming agriturismo on your right. Keep right onto Via Aguiaro and continue for 500 meters, then keep right again onto provincial road 31. The last part of the itinerary runs north for about three and a half kilometers among willows, cherry trees, cedars, cypresses, firs, and rural cemeteries, leading back to Piazza XX Settembre in the historic center of Gavello.

Palazzo Gradenigo Mocenigo
Located at Piazza XX Settembre, 14, this sumptuous 17th-century property consists of the residential core, facing west onto Via Giacomo Matteotti, and a series of rural annexes harmoniously set within a large tree-lined garden.
Flanked by two symmetrical wings, the manor house is topped by a crowning element surmounted by a triangular pediment.
