Sunday 15 October in Sant’Eusebio, Bassano del Grappa
Everything is ready for the much-anticipated march that offers many additional educational opportunities to the children of the Sant’Eusebio Schools.
Bassano del Grappa (VI), 10 October 2023 – It is now a well-established and eagerly awaited event, the “Passeggiata per mano insieme”, which will take place on Sunday 15 October, organized by the Comitato Genitori Scuole Sant’Eusebio, presented today at the headquarters of the Comune di Bassano del Grappa, which sponsors the event, in the presence of municipal councillor Mariano Scotton, the committee representative, Diego Rigoni, and some supporters of the event.
The “Passeggiata per mano insieme”, open to everyone and suitable for all, also included in the circuit of marches registered with FIASP, was born in 2003 with the aim of raising funds for school projects, thanks to some parents of the children attending the kindergarten and primary school of Sant’Eusebio in Bassano del Grappa. But above all, it is an opportunity for great socializing, as well as well-being and sport, in which local families, in particular, but not only, meet, get to know one another and share pleasant experiences.
The Comitato Genitori, established in 2015 with the aim of promoting non-profit sporting and recreational events to support the kindergarten and primary school activities in the neighbourhood, begins preparing the event a year in advance, taking care of every aspect of the march, from refreshments to safety services (ambulances, radio service, toilets, traffic wardens at intersections), and also actively involving the other parents from the Sant’Eusebio schools in preparing sandwiches, biscuits and cakes or serving as volunteers to guide participants along the various routes.
«It is only thanks to the contribution of everyone (parents, Comune di Bassano, sponsors and numerous volunteers from local associations) – said the president of the Comitato Genitori delle Scuola di Sant’Eusebio Rigoni – that in these years important results have been achieved, turned into opportunities for our children to explore new ways of expressing themselves. With the proceeds from the events, in fact, the children of the kindergarten and primary schools, for example, have been able to take part free of charge in music, physical education and English classes, as well as having the chance to go on outings to discover their own area».
For Sunday 15 October, the non-competitive running event features 4 routes: one of 5 kilometres, simplified and designed especially for children, strollers and people with disabilities, one of 6 kilometres, one of 11 kilometres and one of 20 kilometres for the better trained. It starts from the sports facilities of Sant’Eusebio (Villaggio Sant’Eusebio no. 43), from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and it is expected to finish at 1 p.m. The awards will begin around 10:30 a.m. Registrations will close that morning, up until the latest departure time. In case of bad weather, the event will still take place.
