Refrontolo Wine Exhibition 2022

The latest edition of the Refrontolo Wine Exhibition took place from May 14 to 22, 2022 at the barchessa of Villa Spada located at Via D. Capretta, 1, 31020 Refrontolo (TV).
The event enhances the rich biodiversity of the Veneto region, promoting both native oenological qualities and the wine specialties of the municipalities of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, whose hills have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2019.
Visit the Molinetto della Croda
Located at Via del Molino, 31020 Refrontolo (TV), the Molinetto della Croda is a splendid 17th-century building set into the croda, a suggestive rock formation crossed by the Lierza River.
If you are wondering what to do in Refrontolo, the ancient mill complex has been restored to its former glory following careful restoration and renovation work.
Villa Spada
Located at Via D. Capretta, 1, 31020 Refrontolo (TV), the noble architectural complex includes a majestic two-story barchessa, a stable, and other buildings used as a carriage house.
In addition to hosting the annual Refrontolo Wine Exhibition, the ground floor of the barchessa is an ideal setting for artistic and cultural events.
Emma Ciardi
Located near the bell tower of Refrontolo, a picturesque small square of the municipality is dedicated to the artist Emma Ciardi (January 13, 1879 – November 16, 1933), a Venetian painter of remarkable talent in love with the landscapes of this small but charming municipality in the Trevigiano.
The radiant hillside landscapes of Refrontolo inspired some of the painter’s most moving works: from the idyllic panoramic views depicted in Meriggio a Refrontolo, to the evocative views of the Molinetto della Croda.
The painter’s style is recognizable by her quick, decisive yet never random brushstrokes, combined with a sensitivity in creating vibrant chiaroscuro contrasts that seem to bring her canvases to life.
Hoping that the town of Refrontolo continues to host exciting exhibitions of Emma Ciardi’s works, we recommend that anyone wondering what to do in Refrontolo visit the rural locations that inspired this great artist’s creativity.
