What to see
What we recommend is a very pleasant route that will let you discover the Treviso Prealps, as well as a very evocative bivouac perfectly integrated into the Veneto context. The total elevation gain of the hike is about 600 meters, the first step at Passo San Boldo is 709 meters and Cima Vallon Scuro will take you to 1286 meters above sea level. It is located near Cison Val Marino, where the climb to Bivacco dei Loff and nearby peaks like Cordon del Gevero and Cima Vallon Scuro certainly does not go unnoticed.
The entire panorama is also evocative, with some Dolomite peaks very clearly visible and the whole Val Belluna.
The Bivacco dei Loff can be reached via several trails, including the CAI number 991, which will guide you towards Passo San Boldo, characterized by its famous tunnels, carved into the hairpin bends by the Austrians during the First World War and also called the Road of the Hundred Days.
Obviously, we recommend you plan your hike in advance and use professional guides or carefully follow the signs you will find along the trail.
The Bivacco dei Loff
The Bivacco dei Loff is located at 1140 meters above sea level and for us it is a truly evocative and typical place of the Venetian mountain area.
Here you can refresh yourself, eat in company, and then resume the walk. The view is spectacular and the prepared treats are not to be outdone. We want to delight you with some images of the Bivacco dei Loff, which will describe the characteristic shelter better than a thousand words.
If you too have spent some hours at the Bivacco dei Loff, write to us and tell us about your hike, even with images or videos.
