Church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo in Santandrà
Located at Piazza Chiesa, 1, 31050, in the hamlet of Santandrà, the Parish of Sant’Andrea Apostolo represents a point of reference in the community of Povegliano from a historical and cultural as well as religious point of view thanks to the precious and significant works of art and architectural elements created over various eras.
The façade of the church, with a double slope, is characterized by sober and elegant lines identifiable in the massive side pillars that flank the entrance portal and the classic gabled roof that encloses the triangular pediment, above which stands the symbol of the cross.
The interiors of the sacred building feature a single nave with four side altars, among which the precious main altar of seventeenth-century origin stands out.
The artistic heritage preserved in the church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo includes the ancient altarpiece of the dead Christ and Saint Andrew, an apostle born in Galilee from whom the hamlet of Santandrà takes its name.

One of the most interesting popular festivals that attracts thousands of people every year is the
traditional Pojan in Festa, a festival that takes place annually between August and September and includes indispensable and inviting food stands, including tastings set up by historic local pastry shops and evenings dedicated to specialties such as spit-roasted meat like succulent rib steaks.
The evenings, dedicated to music and the overwhelming rhythms of talented local DJs, take place with wild dancing until late at night.
