Archpriestal Church of San Bartolomeo Apostolo and the Church of San Rocco
Located at Via Roma, 63, 30030 Fossò (VE) the archpriestal church stands out for its beautiful double-pitched façade tripartite by four pilasters connected by pointed blind arches that follow the profile of the cornice.
Emphasizing the verticality of the exposed brick structure are the white pinnacles culminating in an octagonal spire.
Of particular value is the bronze door framed by a slight splay in which the jambs adorned with Corinthian capitals and the sinuous twisted columns stand out, above which the pointed arch stands out.
Further ornamental elements are the white tracery ogival openings, the central one, larger, is a four-light window flanked by two two-light windows.
Decorated internally with spectacular paintings and sculptures, the central nave has six semicircular niches, three on each side, bearing spectacular polychrome marble altars.
The facade of the splendid church faces the north side of the Church of San Rocco, smaller in size and distinguished by a facade rhythmically divided by four Corinthian pilasters framing the wooden portal and two semicircular side openings inside which are placed the statues of Saint Paul, recognizable by the sword at his right side, and Saint Peter, distinguishable by the symbol of the keys.
Resting on high bases, the pilasters support the architrave and the dentilled pediment adorned, at the vertices, with sculptures depicting Saints.
