The feast of the Saint
According to the liturgical calendar, the day dedicated to Sant’Antonio da Padova is June 13, but the celebration in his honor takes place in the days before this date. In 2023 the festival is scheduled from Thursday 8 to Tuesday 13 June in Piazza Italia.
Recommended appointment for food lovers looking for homemade dishes made with genuine and tasty products, the festival menu includes exquisite seafood and land dishes: from succulent grilled chops, sausages and ribs, and sandwiches rich with cold cuts, grilled vegetables, and top-notch dairy specialties, as well as delicious fried fish whose aroma spreads through the spacious dining areas crowded with hungry diners.
To mitigate the summer heat, there will be plenty of soft drinks, rivers of beer, spritz, and local wine specialties.

The parish of San Nicola Vescovo
Located on Via Chiesa, 1, the solemn mighty red brick mass of the church of San Nicola Vescovo stands out for its imposing façade with vertical tripartite salients by powerful pilasters. Accessible via an elegant staircase, the lower part of the front is marked by six blind round arches flanking the entrance door. The splayed portal is preceded by a prothyrum formed by two columns supporting a round arch surmounted by a triangular pediment.
In the upper part of the façade there are three single-lancet windows, the central one larger, above which stands a motif of hanging arches that follows the profile of the roof slopes. Crowning the vertical development of the structure is an elaborate gilded metal cross.
The three naves marked by wide round arches, the high wooden truss ceiling, the formidable heritage of marble altars, paintings and sacred sculptures, the apse vault painted with a splendid starry sky: the severe majesty of the interior spaces involves the visitor in an atmosphere that invites silence and serene contemplation.
