Where is Santa Maria di Sala?

The majestic bulk of the place of worship is distinguished by its white façade rhythmically marked by coupled and superimposed pilasters of Doric order on the lower floor and Ionic order on the upper floor, whose arrangement creates vibrant contrasts of light and shadow. Accentuating the verticality of the structure are five stone statues, the central one of which, towering atop the arched pediment reminiscent of a shell, depicts the Madonna with hands joined in prayer.

Follow Via Roma northwards passing in front of the library of Villa Farsetti, a spectacular 18th-century stately residence consisting of a main building raised on three levels flanked by two lower wings.
Rhythmically marked by superimposed pilasters creating delicate chiaroscuro effects, the central body features a balcony with a balustrade on the piano nobile, while the side wings are articulated on the ground floor by pillars and columns with smooth and fluted shafts.
In front of the splendid Venetian villa stretches a vast centuries-old tree-lined park, crossed by a white avenue adorned with well-kept hedges, accessible to the public.
Cycling route through Santa Maria di Sala
Continue on Via Roma and, after passing the library of Villa Farsetti on your left, turn right into Viale dei Carpini and continue for 350 meters to the intersection with Via Gaffarello. Turn left and take the first side street on the right. Take the cycle path that follows Via Noalese to the roundabout.
At the roundabout, take the third exit and continue for 700 meters, then turn right into Via Cavinello. Continue on Via Cavinello for 1.6 km, immersing yourself in the vast rural landscape that stretches as far as the eye can see until you reach the Canale Taglio on Via Rivale.
Just before the Mazzacavallo mill, you will find on your right a dirt road that follows the winding course of the canal.
The Castle of Stigliano
Follow the itinerary for 1.5 km, then turn right into Via Giambattista Tiepolo and continue for 200 meters to the intersection with Via Fracasso.
Turn left and continue for another 200 meters to the intersection. Cross the pedestrian crossing in front of Bar Todaro and take the cycle path on the left that follows a stretch of Via Noalese. Shortly after, cross the small bridge on your left, cross the pedestrian crossing, and keep right onto Via Muson.
Walk along Via Muson for 210 meters and, after crossing the bridge over the canal, you will find on your right the Castle of Stigliano, a towering crenellated fortification of Roman origin restored to its former glory after careful restoration. Return to the Church of the Nativity
After visiting the castle, go back, cross the bridge again and take Via Muson. Continue on Via Muson for 1 km, then turn right into Via L. Ariosto and continue for another km to the end of the road. At the intersection, turn right into Via Rugoletto, passing by a wayside shrine dedicated to the Virgin of Health. After 400 meters, turn left into Via Pianiga. Continue for 1.4 km and turn right into Via Acquileia shortly after passing the Veternigo river canal and a poplar grove.
Walk along Via Aquileia for 700 meters, then turn left into Via G. Marconi. Continue for 550 meters, then turn right into Via delle Rimembranze and proceed until you return to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
