Bike ride in Noventa di Piave and San Donà di Piave
The recommended itinerary starts from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. Alternatively, you can park at the ancient river port of Noventa (45.66034304229458, 12.52787742368779). From the parking lot of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, cross the pedestrian crossings and reach the church of San Mauro Martire and its soaring bell tower.
Church of San Mauro Martire
The majestic mass of the place of worship, with exposed brickwork, is accessible through a massive wooden door flanked by single-lancet windows and preceded by a beautiful porticoed area marked by three round arches supported by columns resting on high bases.
Rhythmed by mighty pilasters, the church has a large circular rose window in the center of the facade and is adorned with a series of hanging arches that follow the profile of the cornice.
Of notable architectural interest is the soaring square-based bell tower that dominates the heart of Noventa. Marked by pilasters that give momentum to the structure, the shaft bears four large clocks, one on each side, placed below the chamber, which presents four elegant mullioned windows in white stone above which stands the octagonal drum pierced by single-lancet windows, crowned with Guelph battlements and surrounded by a suggestive parapet.
Completing the vertical development of the bell tower is the suggestive conical spire culminating with a metal cross.
The river park of Noventa di Piave
Leave the church framed by dark cypresses on your right and walk along Via Piave, a street paved with cobblestones lined with bars and porticoed restaurants and colorful Liberty-style houses.
At the end of Via Piave, cross the embankment and turn right towards the white path of the river park.
Keeping left, follow the itinerary that borders the vast green area from which you can enjoy the enchanting panorama of the Piave and the lush tree vegetation of white poplars, acacias, and alders lapped by its waters.
Returning to the park parking lot, proceed towards the large poplar that stands at a fork: on the right is the ancient river port of Noventa di Piave with millenary origins, on the left the cycle-pedestrian path, also rideable on horseback, that follows the course of the river sacred to the homeland.
The river park of Fossalta
Take the white cycle-pedestrian itinerary that winds parallel to Via Argine following the serpentine course of the Piave bends. Along the itinerary, by carefully observing through the tree foliage, you can glimpse the enchanting green lung of the river park of Fossalta.

At this point you can visit the river park or visit the historic center of the municipality of San Donà di Piave. Alternatively, you can follow Corso Silvio Trentin for 650 meters to the roundabout at Villa De Faveri, take the second exit and return to the center of Noventa di Piave by going straight along Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi, Via Noventa and Via Roma.
