Villa Zanella
Located at Via Saviabona, 46, Villa Zanella is enveloped by the placid and silent scenery of the Monticello countryside, marked by lush hedges and the winding bends of the Astichello. Rising two storeys, the 19th-century noble residence is distinguished by a façade punctuated by four Ionic order pilasters, above which rest the architrave bearing the inscription DATUR HORA QUIETI, and the dentilled triangular pediment.
Villa Valmarana Bressan
Located at Via Vigardoletto, 33 a stone’s throw from the cedar park (45.609432970701, 11.58511415194109), Villa Valmarana is an invaluable example of Palladian architecture.
The north façade of the 16th-century dwelling, with double pitch, features on the ground floor, on either side of the entrance, two windows surmounted by a triangular pediment.
Slightly set back, the central section of the front features an elegant serliana preceded by a staircase.
On either side of the serliana arch, two small circular oculi open, surmounted by three quadrangular windows. On the top of the front, a further circular opening stands out.
Open to the public by reservation, the splendid house is one of the most significant landmarks of the historical and cultural panorama of the Vicenza area.
