The rich menu includes bigoli and gnocchi with duck ragù, fried fish, lasagna with truffle, delicious grilled meat dishes and tripe, as well as exquisite homemade frittelle. The undisputed star of the event will be the succulent spit-roasted meat and polenta rotating over the fire, a feast for the eyes and the palate.

The military road of the French
To take the recommended path, you can leave your car in the shade of a large oak tree at Via Zovo, 50, 36050 Isola Vicentina (VI). Leave the facade of the pretty church behind you. Once you reach Via Zovo, turn right and proceed for about 100 meters, then turn left into Str. False, a dirt path that leads into the pleasant hilly landscape of Gambugliano. At the start of the hike, you will find a detailed information panel about the history of the centuries-old route called the military road of the French.
During the path, you can take in the scenery of lively rounded slopes crossed by dense thick hedges and punctuated by cultivated fields dotted with rustic farmhouses.
If you are wondering what to do in Gambugliano and are looking for an unspoiled environment, far from the noise of traffic, where you can breathe clean air and contemplate endless views of sunny grassy hills, walking along the serene paths of this peaceful town nestled in the heart of the Vicenza area is certainly a recommended experience!
The church of Saints Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia
Located at Via Antonio Bruttomesso, 1, 36050 Gambugliano (VI), the church stands on the slopes of a charming hill dotted with maritime pines, cedars, firs, plum trees and white willows, just to mention a few of the splendid tree varieties that surround the place of worship.
Distinguished by an elegant salient facade, the church overlooks a white square from which there is a wide view of the radiant hills clothed in woodland vegetation that fade into the horizon.
Framed by a projecting porch covered with a double-pitched roof, the massive wooden portal divided into quadrangular panels is surmounted by an architrave and a pointed lunette decorated with an image of Jesus with a halo, on an ochre background.
Flanked by two pilasters crowned with spires, the front features a fine rose window above which stands a Greek cross with bas-relief decorations. Another ornamental feature is the motif of hanging arches that follows the profile of the slopes.
Inside, the place of worship houses elaborate marble altars lit by the dazzling reflections of leaded lancet windows in polychrome glass. Below the apse, which recalls the majestic celestial vault, there is a refined pipe organ.
