The undisputed protagonist of the beloved village festival, the exquisite dish from the port city of Valencia, irresistible for seafood lovers: mussels, clams, calamari, prawns, scampi whose flavor combines uniquely with the unmistakable aroma of saffron, also known as red gold for its delicate fragrance and the considerable effort required. Indeed, about 150 flowers are needed to obtain a single gram of the precious spice!

The San Matteo Fair
Where and when does the San Matteo Fair take place?
The San Matteo Fair is held every September at the Pro Loco of Cona in the hamlet of Conetta.
The celebration of Saint Matthew the Apostle falls on September 21 but the festivities also take place in the days before and after this date.
The event promotes a rich variety of gastronomic delights, both local and from Mediterranean culture, especially based on seafood and very fresh fish. Among the exquisite dishes offered by the menu, the tasty grilled items and the inevitable fried foods that you can accompany with top-quality native wines are a must.
Each evening will be enlivened by orchestras and talented musical groups ready to involve all participants in an atmosphere that combines joviality, fun, and carefreeness, ideal for bidding farewell to summer and welcoming the autumn season.
Centuries-old Villas and Churches
Villa Morosini Giovannelli
Located along Provincial Road 5 in the hamlet of Conetta (45.177022949498266, 11.9965396317324), Villa Morosini Giovannelli is one of the most representative architectural complexes in the municipality.
A splendid example of a Venetian noble residence, the sumptuous house is distinguished by its main body developed over three levels culminating in a hipped roof. Accessible via a white tree-lined avenue, the building is flanked by imposing service buildings, typical elements of country villas that served as storage, warehouses, and housed farmers and laborers working on the agricultural estate.
Oratorio di Santa Maria della Neve

Located by Villa Morosini, the ancient origins of the church are attested by ancient sources that confirm its presence in Conetta for over two thousand years.
Originally dedicated to Santa Maria della Neve, the millennial place of worship underwent delicate reconstruction interventions over the centuries and is currently dedicated to the cult of Saint Matthew the Apostle.
The church is distinguished by a white classical-style façade vertically tripartite by four pilasters supporting the cornice, the architrave, and the dentilated pediment.
The portal is surmounted by a lunette and flanked by two arched openings supported by small columns.
