Nestled in the heart of Treviso’s historic center, at Via Carlo Alberto, 11, pizzeria La Piola is a reference point both for connoisseurs of tasty and fragrant pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired oven and for lovers of pizza bread, a delicious gourmet specialty created for the thirtieth anniversary of the pizzeria’s opening in 1986.
Alessandro Geromel, manager of La Piola for more than five years, tells us in this interview
about the rich and engaging program of events to entertain, captivate and delight during the beautiful summer of 2021.
Jazz Nights 2021 at La Piola
From the scenic view of the Cagnan from Sant’Agata Street to the suggestive frescoed porticoes that lead to the Salce National Collection Museum, the romantic setting in which La Piola is located is pervaded by an atmosphere that stimulates creativity and inspiration.
Born from the collaboration with the cultural association TSJF (Treviso Suona Jazz Festival), Jazz Nights is an initiative aimed at promoting quality music in the context of fascinating locations of historical and architectural value.
The concluding show of Jazz Nights will take place Tuesday, July 27 with the performance of Hot Bow, a trio consisting of violinist Mattia Martorano, Nicola Bortolanza on double bass and guitarist Andrea Boschetti.

Towards the end of September, La Piola’s program includes an exciting cultural event in collaboration with Cartacarbone, a literary festival that takes place within the Renaissance walls of the city to rediscover the most significant monuments of the historic center, among which we cannot fail to mention the famous Ponte Dante, dedicated to the supreme poet who in Canto IX of Paradise mentioned Treviso with the famous words: Là dove Sile e Cagnan s’accompagna.
Treviso Comic Book Festival 2021
To the exciting literary itinerary is added the collaboration with TCBF (Treviso Comic Book Festival) which in 2021 will take place from September 24 to 26.
The international comic book festival welcomes every year thousands of enthusiasts of illustrated stories, offering the opportunity to meet both emerging artists and established cartoonists on the national and international scene, in the context of a varied program full of new features in which classic and traditional pencil drawing is reconciled with the most modern multimedia art technologies.
