Fiera 4 Passi in Treviso: intentions and ambitions
The ambitious intentions on which the 15th edition of Fiera 4 Passi will focus include:
Solutions to eradicate the scourge of absolute poverty and the serious problems associated with it, such as malnutrition, high infant mortality, lack of adequate education, and precarious conditions of the health system, whose improvement is necessary to ensure well-being and increase the average life expectancy of the population.
Policies and investments aimed at strengthening the agricultural and rural sector, in a context that values environmental respect and the centrality of individual health, can help developing countries achieve food sovereignty and thus greater independence.
One of the necessary prerequisites to achieve these goals is to ensure access to and supply of drinking water, an indispensable resource whose availability is compromised due to precarious and unreliable plants and infrastructure and economic models that disregard the disastrous damage caused by pollution and social inequalities.
Innovation and sustainability are key words for creating technologies capable of using renewable sources to produce clean energy, create jobs, and generate wealth.
Cleaning the oceans and safeguarding marine and ocean biodiversity is essential for the survival of every living species on earth, plant and animal.
The Fiera4passi program not only highlights the threats that compromise the planet’s delicate ecosystem but promotes activities, initiatives, and solutions based on awareness and the desire to reduce the environmental impact of our lifestyle, through taking individual responsibility starting from changing our daily habits:
choosing solidarity purchasing groups (G.A.S.) that value the production and sale of organic products from Italian farms and encourage the purchase of zero-kilometer products.
Turning to local artisans to find useful, functional, and eco-friendly furniture and utensils, buying low-environmental-impact household cleaning products, and preferring cosmetic products made with organic ingredients.
Buying clothes made with low environmental impact fabrics or recycled materials in supply chains that recognize and respect the value of workers’ labor.
