For two days, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., at Villaggio San Francesco, there is an event for fans of cosplay, comics and video games
BIC COMIX COSPLAY & GAME FESTIVAL: The BIC Cosplay & Game Festival returns to Caorle: the only one held just a stone’s throw from the sea. The event, under the patronage of the Comune di Caorle, takes place in the spaces of Villaggio San Francesco on 16 and 17 September, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.. A two-day event that opens the season of major winter events for fans of comics, cinema, gaming and cosplay. There are many new features in this 2023 edition.
It all starts with plenty of themed areas. Expo Area dedicated to the world of comics, cosplay, nerd culture and pop culture. Artist Valley with authors, cartoonists, illustrators, artists. Plenty of spaces with board games and puzzles open to everyone. Medieval Time area with medieval and old-fashioned games to feel like the Knights of the Round Table. And also: Harry Potter area with performers, entertainment and choreography: you will have the chance to be sorted into one of the 4 houses of Hogwarts by the sorting hat, learn spells, potions and much more. Big Robot area with an expo of giant robots for amazing photos. In the Sci-Fi area, objects with characters from the worlds of Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Star Trek and Stargate will be on display. For 80s fans, in the retrogaming area it will be possible to play with the legendary arcade video games and the consoles that made history. Also not to be missed are the tournaments: Tetris, Street Fighter, video game quizzes, quizzes on 80s/90s TV series; interviews with the authors.
Do you also feel the Barbiemania? Then dress in Barbie or Ken style – or however you like – and take your photo inside the Barbie Box you will find in Barbieland.
Among the events to mark in your diary: on Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m. everyone is invited to the Cosplay Contest. While on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. there will be a big parade in the park with all guest characters (cosplay and sci-fi).
During the day there will be numerous entertainment activities, from muscle warm-up with Rambo (9:30 a.m.) to Aqua Gym with the Cartoon Hits (11:00 a.m.); only on Saturday the Holly and Benji Tournament (4:00 p.m.); only on Sunday Show de le Libellule d’Oriente: Harry Potter Mania (6:00 p.m.).
Finally, those who enter the festival (both day ticket and 2-day ticket with overnight stay) can take part in sports activities such as aqua gym, archery, beach volleyball… Even in cosplay; access the sports fields (padel included); access the new Spray Park and all the Village pools; enjoy excellent dishes from morning to evening in our restaurants (*meal costs are not included in the admission ticket) access the beach, both equipped (extra cost) and free.
