“With over 16,000 members, Whisky Club Italia is the largest Italian whisky club, with its heart in the Brianza Lecchese area and branches covering a large part of the country. Thanks to the experience of numerous events organized from the South to the North of Italy, founders Claudio Riva, Davide Terziotti and the Clan managers have teamed up to spread the culture of the distillate and conscious drinking, reaching in 2019 – the last year of in-person activities – the milestone of as many as 241 organized tastings. That number was replicated #ONAIR in 2020-2021 during the 12 months of lockdown.”

Whisky: An Iconic Spirit

Neat, on the rocks, double or with soda, we’ve heard it ordered in millions of movies: it’s whisky.
If there is one “spirit” of the 20th century, it is definitely whisky, from westerns to noir, via gangsters, to the bottle locked in a drawer of some investigative journalist in any 70s and 80s film, it is always present, and for a week it will also be present in TREVISO.

What is the Whisky Week?

The team of Whisky Club Italia accompanies us for a week in the best tastings of whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, United States, Japan, and Italy.
This is the second appointment, after the success in Como, of a traveling tour that will touch many cities in Italy where connoisseurs are already ready with their old fashioned glasses.(for those who didn’t know, these are the typical lowball glasses used for this distillate).

Where will the Whisky Week be held in 2021?

The event will take place in the third week of the month, with a series of “Fuori Fabbrica” meetings in the main bars, restaurants, and hotels of Treviso, culminating on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 in the large spaces of OpenDream, the square of excellence. In the former factory, in a 5000 sqm space reborn from the experience of a disused industrial area transformed into a synergistic hub of production and creativity, enthusiasts of the distillate can dedicate themselves to tastings in safety and total relaxation, among slow smoke and some surprises, while a catering service active throughout the weekend will make the event family-friendly.

What time will the event take place? What is the ticket price?

The event is on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The ticket, only in presale at 15 euros, includes entry and a glass with a glass holder pocket. Tastings can be done with a series of “wtoken”, starting from 2 euros. “In line with policies related to the health emergency – Claudio Riva, president of Whisky Club Italia, proudly points out – we forget the crowding of trade fairs. After the positive experience in Como, we wanted to bring to Veneto the best of whisky production to allow enthusiasts to treat themselves to tastings that they could hardly find all together.” The calendar of events, evolving, is available on the website www.whiskyweek.it.
