Exploring Parco delle Chiuse
The route goes deeper into the lush and thick forest vegetation surrounding two large water basins formed where sand extraction deposits once stood. Left in a state of degradation for many years, the area was later redeveloped and today is characterized by a complex and delicate heritage of faunal and plant biodiversity that attracts hikers every year looking for a quiet place removed from concrete and pollution.
A natural destination immersed in greenery and seemingly suspended in a primordial and timeless dimension, Parco delle Chiuse is a point of reference for anyone wishing to explore a flourishing unspoiled oasis in the Venetian hinterland.
The Lago Blu di Maerne
Follow the path that runs along the large water basins and, after the visit, return to the entrance of the nature reserve. Leave the entrance of the oasis behind you and turn left, continue for 350 meters along Via Ca’ Bembo and turn right. Continue for 300 meters along the tree-lined road until you reach the Lago Blu di Maerne, a splendid body of water surrounded by thick vegetation where sports fishing enthusiasts go.
