Festa dea poenta
The Polenta Festival is an annual event aimed at promoting not only the excellent quality of local gastronomy and typical products, but also entertaining hundreds of visitors, families, groups, and friends with shows and sporting activities, among which stands out the famous Palio dea Poenta, one of the most celebrated traditions of the Marca Trevigiana region.
Obtained from the grinding of corn, polenta represents a true symbol of Venetian gastronomy as a typical dish of peasant culture since the 17th century.
Often considered a poor dish, polenta was also consumed by the higher social classes thanks to its delicious flavor that pairs perfectly with both meat dishes, such as the typical “polenta e osei”, and fish.
The gastronomic event takes place every year in September at the sports facilities in Via Dante Alighieri, 31023 Castelminio di Resana (TV).
Don’t miss it!
