Caorle (Venezia), 23 May 2024 – They are unmistakable when, from the shoreline, they launch themselves fearlessly into the waves: they are the Rescue Dogs, who return to centre stage on the beach of Caorle (Venezia) on Sunday 26 May, for the BauWatch event hosted on the beach in front of Villaggio San Francesco, starting at 10.30 a.m.
«During the event – explains Michael Brioschi Guinet of BiHoliday, coordinator of the initiative – you will be able to admire the canine units engaged in rescue drills for people in difficulty at sea, but you will also be able to try the experience of swimming together with your dog, or be accompanied and guided by the canine instructors of Professione Cane, so your four-legged friend can test its approach to water».
«The BauWatch event – underlines Ilenia Cherubin, from the BiHoliday group, promoter of the event – aims to raise awareness on the issue of dogs on holiday; being “pet friendly” means having a welcoming attitude: dedicated accommodation units, the beach, agility-dog and all those spaces and services essential for the needs of four-legged friends and their owners».
The initiative takes place in collaboration with the Professione Cane Dog School and the National Training Institute for Rescue Dog Units. In the afternoon, a curious appointment with the Dog Photoshoot. A set will be set up in the Tukan area where you can take photos with your four-legged friend or with the Dog Rescue heroes. This will be followed by one-to-one lessons with a dog instructor (for info write to events@biholiday.com).
What to see on the beach:
Dog Rescue demonstrations with rescue dog units.
The rescue dog units will show us a series of sea rescue simulations involving the collaboration between canine units and rescue units (in the morning from 10.30 a.m.).
First approach to water for all guests who wish to take part with their dog.
For all guests who want to introduce their dog to water for the first time, while for the more “experienced” there is the chance to try “Four-legged swimming” side by side with their friend (in the morning at the end of the Dog Rescue performances).
Entertainment.
The entertainers of Villaggio San Francesco will entertain guests both on the beach and at the nearby Tukan Beach.
Dog PhotoShoot!
Space for photos, in a specially set-up studio, to be photographed with your furry friend or for a shot with the lifeguard dogs (the heroes of the day). A pleasant idea even for the little ones.
