Guinness World Records in Treviso: The largest bottle of grappa
Setting this record on June 6, 2010, was the Treviso-based Distilleria Bottega S.R.L. The capacity of this enormous glass bottle is 148.40 liters of pure grappa. The record’s father is Sandro Bottega, owner of the namesake distillery.
Breakdance: Guinness World Record in Treviso for most consecutive rotations
On August 10, 2010, Mauro Peruzzi, known as bboy Cico, originally from Treviso and among the best and most renowned breakers in the world, surpassed the ninety record. This move involves a vertical rotation pivoting on the palm of the hand. The record counts 27 consecutive rotations: here is Cico’s video.
Breakdance record beaten by Stefano from Treviso
Stefano Maso in 2015 beat the record for consecutive halos, a breakdance move. That is 49 consecutive 360° rotations, the record was watched live by many people during the Street Night event at the Adriatico 2 shopping mall in Treviso. Here is the video of Stefano Maso‘s feat.
Guinness World Record in Treviso: The longest tablecloth in the world
On June 6, 2010 in Treviso, at the headquarters of the Provincial Authority in Sant’Artemio Park, as many as 6,000 diners sat at a table together, a table 1,550 meters long! The lunch consisted of 4 courses rich in local specialties, prepared by thirty restaurateurs from the province of Treviso, under the guidance of the Associazione TrevisoViva and coordinated by expert cooking teacher and gastronome Giovanna Gasparello Fanton. Furthermore, among the Guinness records, the event was also recognized for the longest tablecloth. An ideal record for good eaters and lovers of good company, who knows who will beat this record!
Prosecco Doc for a world record
Prosecco, as we know, is increasingly loved abroad. For the event Poppin’ Prosecco & Breakin’ Records, held in Brooklyn at Peach Beach restaurant on August 6, 2016, producers of the caliber of Astoria, Villa Sandi, Zonin, and La Marca participated. These brands provided the necessary bottles to perform the world’s longest uncorking of prosecco. In fact, 291 bottles of Italian Prosecco Doc were uncorked simultaneously, thus winning the new Guinness World Record.
Diadora and the most numerous simultaneous ball-juggling
On May 7, 2016 in Caerano San Marco, Treviso, 1,406 people juggled a ball for 10 seconds simultaneously! The official sponsor was Diadora, which provided all the necessary balls; the brand also wanted to celebrate the return to the field and market of Brasil, an iconic line of football boots strictly Made in Italy. Record of frittatas in Portobuffolè
That’s right, Portobuffolè in the province of Treviso, entered the Guinness World Records for the most frittatas cooked in half an hour: 838! There were 10 chefs who took on the record attempt, using 4 eggs per frittata, for a total of 3,352 eggs.
